I hated how they stole all their belongings too, like the watch and bracelet when they were staying at the nans house.
I suppose that was kind of necessary, to show what war does to people, particularly young children.

There were so many kids in that warehouse thingy they were staying in. Iuno how they managed food and everything.
It also shows how clever they are when in a crisis. People might think they're spoilt and dumb, but when it comes to survival, they can manage.

Homer is the bad boy, Ellie the strong, dependent one, Fi the delicate one, Lee the sensitive yet deadly one. Yeah you get the drift, I really love this series.

Haha loving the discussion here!!! Keep it up...
Chris was crack up. "That was the biggest joint I've ever lit"
Homer was amazing too. And Ellie's reactions to him haha it was funny.
Loved it when Ellie goes to call Lee and she's like to his Mum "I. Want. Lee." and he's listening hahahahaha crack up lol. Very funny!!!
:D
I actually thought Robyn was quite good. Although that bit at the end with the soldiers getting shot by her was not cool. And Chris lighting the fuse, what was with that?! I was getting so frustrated when Fi and Ellie were discussing boys and then the soldiers are creeping up on them, and they had their radio off. EEEEK!
The part with Ellie going mental at Chris for falling asleep was kinda weird... But good. Shows how strained she was.
Kevin was too hot though. I know from living in a farming district, and farm boys just don't look like Kevin. Well not generally anyway... There are a few exceptions. ;)
And in the books, wasn't Kevin described as being the big ugly farm guy? Or something? Or did I just make that up lol? :P

I don't think he was called UGLY as such, but he wasn't meant to be a real looker, y'know?
Yeah I loved that phone call part!
With the Chris-falling-sleep-part, I think the writers really coulda cut out some of the swearing, but I agree, it showed how emotionally it was affecting her.

Yeah, the swearing was like wow... Extreme much?! I reckon Ellie was played so well. She was cool :)
I see whatcha mean about Kevin, and they guy played him well and everything but yeah. Maybe I'm too fussy?

When the DVD comes out, I'm gunna get it and play it over and over and over haha!!! Can't wait. :)
Me too! My sisters want to watch it (9 + 11 year olds) I'm not too sure though :/
The swearing was very unneccesary. It can be summed up in these two sentences:
"No need to swear."
"Yeah, Kevin, no need to bloody swear."

Yeah I know ay. It sorta put a damper on it... If your sisters wanna watch it, I reckon they could, if you just mute it when the swearing comes up.
I reckon the blaspheming was horrible too. Liked when Kevin says "Jesus Christ!" which leads to those two sentences... That annoyed me. :\

If your religious I suppose words like that would be offensive, but then again, in todays society curse words are such a common thing.
I guess, but - hey, aren't you in school? - they were swearing even before the war began and stuff.
Yeah, I don't personally like it when people blaspheme, but hey, a bunch of country teens. Whatda ya expect?
Neither, are you Christian?
Haha that's pretty true, I live in the country and the language some kids use is so not cool!

I am Christian, but not strictly, like, I don't go to church often. But I do believe in God.
Once my little sister told my mum that she knew the "S.H." word. When my mum asked what it was, a worried look on her face, my sister replied, "shut up".

I got a movie out that was PG, and the swearing in it was really bad. How was this movie PG??? That shows how common swearing is! I hate hearing it all the time in MA movies,PG shouldn't have any words like that.
Sometimes ratings are really weird. Like this program my mum watches, which is just about the houses and the property market, is rated PG. I have absolutely no idea why. I'd definitely let a 5 year old watch it.
Are you in school?
Are you in school?
Oh right :\
I just meant, right now. Like, right this very moment, coz I think most schools went back today. Not my school bwa hahahah!
Oh and btw, you're two years older than me.

Sweet!! My sister is also two years younger than me, and she's on goodreads and she's never read a book in her life.
Dammit. You must live in a different state ((*headdesk* duh)) to me.
Yeah, we have laptops too, and I don't think the teachers have even heard of it.
Wow. Kind of defies the point then XD

I'm really surprised that the TWTWB movie didn't ruin the book like Twilight did.
Ah, I live in Melbourne.
Same! I thought it would throw the book at a wall. Surprisingly, it didn't and I was delighted about how true to the book it was.
I didn't like the Twilight books, so.

Ya, swearing at my school is horrible too.
Haha crazy you guys get laptops, we still use pens and paper over here. Although apparently our junior school is getting laptops!!! Which I find slightly crazy. Haha yay I think I'm older than you two... :D But I won't say how old - I'll leave you to guess :)
Aussie schooling systems are confusing. We had a guy from NSW at our school for a term. Over in Australia he was year 9, but over here he was yr 10, but later moved up into the yr 11 class! Crazy haha. Maybe it's cuz we have a 13 year schooling system here?
Good point about TWTWB movie not ruining the book. Twilight was a serious let down. Don't even get me started on how much I dislike Bella and Edward!!!! Ahhh!

Swearing isn't TOO bad, I go to an all-girl's school.
Well, we still sometimes use pen+paper just not often.
XD I don't find them confusing. I find the ones which have middle school and the likes confusing though.
I haven't read/seen Twilight.

Hmmmmm interesting.
Haha you'd find our schooling system confusing I bet lol! Year 10's are usually 14 over here... Year 8's are 12. Lol
Lucky you. I have a friend who's parents have banned him from watching Twilight. Wise parents I say :)

Wow. So... I would be in year 9, maybe 10. Depending on stuff.
Extremely wise. I hope he doesn't actually WANT to watch it anyhow, though?

Yeah probably haha.
Well I'm not sure actually. I don't reckon he does, cuz he's a sensible guy haha ;)

Thank you thank you!!!!!
Yeah, I wasn't there for long and didn't talk to one of my closer friends, but I still saw him and we exchanged facial gestures (Smiles!!!) haha! Was great to see them all again. So happy :)
The next time I see them in January will be extra awesome though I'm guessing :)
