Koori no hi this book is made more interesting by the way the characters from different ways of life are connected by the happenings of this war. the differences in the characters personalities is obvious and because of this the story almost seems to be told from three different points of view.

Alanna Yeah I noticed that as I read. I think it made the book better by having different view points. I also like how the three main people were from different palces in society. One was a daughter in a rich family, one was a son in a rich family, but considered by many as a bastard and therefore not truly part of the family, and one was a peddler.
I really like these different people.

Melinda Brasher I LOVE this book, and it surprises me how many people are ho-hum about it. I too liked the different POVs, and I liked all three characters. Plus, there were so many great cultural misunderstandings and conflicts. Fascinating.

Brolie I like how all three main characters are massively flawed... you don't really LIKE any of them... they've all "sinned" so to speak
