William (acknud) I just finished this. It was interesting with a good concept. It is set in the future after colonization of Mars and Venus. A previous civilization has left artifacts around the universe that are worth tremendous sums of money. One of the "artifacts" is a large asteroid ship that is peppered with smaller ships. People take these smaller ships to go prospecting in other star systems. The main problem is you don't know where you are going when you take off so it is at extreme risk. Many of the prospectors never return. The book is fast paced and a very easy read. Highly recommended for starting in the Sci-fi genre.

Jess (ireadlots) Ditto Michael. My first and only foray into sci-fi (Atlantis by David Gibbins) was too much science so that I got bored with being confused all the time. Thanks Acknud, maybe an easy sci-fi read is what I need to ease me into the genre better (I really want to read the Hitchhickers Series, but am too scared of not liking it).

ME too Evie. I think it would be fun to read but I worry that actually reading the Hitchickers series well disappoint me.
