Wow, that's got to be one hell of a stack! I've thought about doing that before....but that's about as far as I got. :) One of these times I'm going to finish an entire challenge and I will do it then. Just need a break from school to be able to do that. My next term starts October 1st so I'm hoping I can get all of my classes done in the first three months and have the other three months to slack off and maybe complete a whole challenge. LOL, as it is right now I'm trying to finish a paper that I said I'd have turned in tonight....probably not gonna happen. I'm sooo not feeling it. My books are calling to me......

Stacy - I just write what I feel when writing a review. I stay away from summarizing the story, because when you click on the book the first thing that pops up on Goodreads is a summary - why should I repeat it all? I just go with my feelings :)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments Ashley wrote: "Kourtney, Do you own all the books required for the challenge?"

I do! I've been using the "search within your books" to find everything. It took me about 2 hours this morning to finish it all. I got lucky with the name generator that I had a book that worked for it. I have about 400 books in my bookcase that I have not yet read, so it is not hard to pull out books that work for the challenges.

For past challenges, if I don't have a book I usually pull it from PSB or Bookmooch

message 55: by Ashley (new)

Ashley You have about 400 books that you have not read?! Incredible!

LOL, everytime I finish one I post it on Paperbackswap and Bookmooch if you're interested. I don't have much on there right now but you're more than welcome to browse. :)

message 60: by Kourtney (new)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments I have officially run out of room for my books since the bf moved in and stole 4 of my 16 cubes out of my bookcase. GRR! So now I have to read them and if I have no plans to reread the book, then it gets posted on PBS and Bookmooch - you can browse mine as well :) (I've gotten quite a few books from Stacy over the past few months!)

I'm with you Kourtney - my library at home keeps growing because I keep ordering new books from swap sites in anticipation of reading them for challenges then I never get to them:) My fiance keeps telling me I need to buy a real book shelf rather than the random places they're all in now

That's what I keep saying. I've moved twice with this load and I'll be moving again (hopefully sooner rather than later) and I really don't want to pack up all these books again!

It was hard moving - and now I have accumulated more. I renewed my lease for another year so I am on deadline to read as many books as I can and get rid of the ones I shall never open again. That's why I've been trying to do these challenges!

I've been feeling the urge to get through as many books as possible so I don't have as many to move. I'm pretty close to getting a house, just waiting for money to loosen up here in the next month or so for a downpayment.

It's ok if you don't have everything figured out yet. Posting a list is how I know that people are going to be participating. Some of us go back and updated it by putting a line through tasks/books completed and that helps me when I get confused on someone's points. I can verify my spreadsheet against their list. You don't have to do this, but I do have it in the rules that everyone participating needs to post a reading list. No problem if you've got TBDs on there! :)

5.4 Get Cozy - Th1rteen R3easons Why by Jay Asher

TOTAL POINTS: 5

I was woken up by a thunderstorm at 3:30am Saturday morning. I couldn't sleep as there was thunder, lightening and hail causing a ruckus. Reading Mini-Shopaholic seemed wrong for the weather, so I pulled this book out instead. I got halfway through the book before falling asleep. I read the second half in bed this morning as I refused to budge until it was done. I'm so glad I did. Very powerful story!
