I don't know but I can ask. I don't see her very often though and her son is currently overseas. He isn't due back for about three weeks. Because it is a family business we know them all very well.

It was amazing to hear the whole story I had only heard snippets previously. I haven't read her bood. Which I must do now.

Melanie - I haven't been to a movie theatre in twenty years - hubby has hearing aids and the noise drives him crazy. I'm quite happy to wait for the movies to come to T.V. If the story holds up on the small screen then it's good.

I relate to your remark about watching a movie "when it's been forgotten about". Without hype. Someone once said the Oscars should be awarded ten years after the movies were made. I couldn't agree more! The decisions would then be based on quality and not publicity.

Some great movies have come out of Australia. My favourites are (not in order) Breaker Morant, Picnic at Hanging Rock, My Brilliant Career and The Getting of Wisdom and The Man from Snowy River.

Getting a little tired of TEN streching out Offspring just so it makes it to 9:30 or sometimes 9:40pm. Right near the end they keep putting in shorter bits but more ads. And last week it cut them off talking! Just irritated me tonight.

I was watching a program on TEN last week...the ads were coming so often, I ended up timing them...4 minutes of program, 4 minutes of ads!! Disgusting!!!! No wonder I hate watching free to air TV!!~

Channel 7 are just as bad with the ads apparently. Friend of mine watched Downton Abbey and the commercials were coming so thick and fast she kept losing the thread of the story. It's a program you'd expect to find on the ABC, where I would have been tempted to watch it, but when I saw it was on Seven I changed my mind.

At the moment I'm actually watching The Block on Nine. Yes, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, and my husband, an old joiner/carpenter/builder can't stand it. But he's in hospital for a few days for some tests on his ticker and I'm taking heartless (get it?) advantage of his absence to enjoy the shenanigans on The Block.

Wow..That IS terrible >:( Near the end of Offspring it must be like 2mins show, 5 mins ads because it just gets really stupid at the end. It actually makes me feel like complaining.

@Monya- Blegh 7 sounds terrible as well. I hate it when ads wreck the storyline. Does channel 7 do streaming for their shows like TEN does? Sometimes it's easier to watch them through the internet..Still get ads but not so many.

Hope your husband will be alright :) And ehehe good time to watch The Block! Do you just enjoy the building side of it or everything else or both? I know TEN is going to have a simlar show soon..Saw an ad for it last night (forget it's name though).
