This is a discussion for those who have read the King of the Trees, book one in the King of the Trees series. It may and probably will contain spoilers.

Starting discussion with; what was your favorite oart of the book?

My favorite part is where Rolin is presented to King Whitewing and must prove his right to the throne.

Oh! I love that part!!! And how he wasn't really convincing them until he brings out the tip of Elgathel's sword. I wonder if Windsong's neck ever gets sore with having to write so much, He recorded the whole thing.

Windsong wants me to purchase "Griffin Dictate." It's like "Dragon Dictate," only for griffins. He can click and clack his beak, and the software translates those sounds into letters and words.

Pretty cool, don't you think?

Robyn S. (thunderscape-7) That is a great part :D
You would think Windsong would get tired of writing all that....and remembering it.

You would think so, but Windsong never tires of writing. :)

Hehehe, just like Robyn and me, eh? What's dragon dictate?

Dragon Dictate is voice-recognition software that translates what you say into words on your computer. It's really pretty slick.

Hey, that's cool! Do they use that for people who can't speak english?

Oh, and getting back to the subject, my fav. part is on the Isle of Luralin, when Rolin, Scanlon, Windsong and Ironwing hide from the flames in Waganpa's trunk, and then when they are healed in the river. Don't know why that's my favorite, it just is.

Actually, Dragon Dictate (which is now called "Dragon Naturally Speaking") is used by people like me who have arthritis/tendonitis in their hands/arms or have other physical disabilities that prevent them from typing. Other people use it because it's just easier than typing.

And I like that scene from Book I, too!

By the way, Windsong and I ended up selling over 330 books and such at the Fair, PTL!

WOw!!! Really!!! That's awesome!!! I know when I saw you you weren't that happy with book sales. Great Job!!! Oh, and that's how it works, okay! That is cool, though I think typing works better for me because I can pause and think about it. I am better at telling stories when I can think about it.

Robyn S. (thunderscape-7) Wow congratulations on the sales. That is awesome. :D
