Several of the books are set in Salt Lake City." There is also the Shandra Covington series set in Salt Lake City. The author is Jeffrey S. Savage. Try DEAD ON ARRIVAL. It's a quick, entertaining read.

Jeffrey writes very interesting books. I'm not sure I'd call this a cozy (I'd have to read more than Dead on Arrival) but perhaps. It is not a traditional. It is very unique. I was surprised I enjoyed it as well as I did. His mom is one of my good friends and Jeff is now writing full time. His largest sellers are young adult fantasy. If you have children that age, or enjoy YA fantasy, you might try one.

Miki | 148 comments If you are looking for an interesting non-traditional cozy set in Hawaii, try The Mamo Murders by Juanita Sheridan. Three young women work together to solve three murders and a disappearance at a large ranch on Maui. There is quite a bit of ancient Hawaiian lore and information about the culture of the islands in the 1950's. I found it to be a good read.

Carol: Donald Bain/Jessica Fletcher was the Featured Author for November 2010. Look there for the Murder, She Wrote book list with where each one is set.

ETA: Found the direct link for you. Click here.

For Nevada, try the Tattoo shop series by Karen Olsen. They're great fun! The Donut Shop books by Jessica Beck take place in NC.

Shay | 408 comments For North Carolina, the Deborah Knott series written by Margaret Maron. The first in the series is Bootlegger's Daughter.

Carole Nelson Douglas's Midnight Louis series is set in NV.

Rita Mae Brown's new series is set in Nevada, but it's unreadable.

I read You Bet Your Life by Donald Bain/Jessica Fletcher for Nevada, and have A Killer Plot by JB Stanley/Ellery Adams in the TBR pile for North Carolina.

If you get stumped for books on a state, look at other members' lists to see what they have read. I've found a couple of my "state" books that way.

Caroline | 661 comments You can also look at stopyourekillingme.com and they have a list by states. Of course, they're mysteries and not necessarily cozies. : )

Melissa | 324 comments For Montana, the new series Death al Dente takes place there.

I just requested Hooked Up from my library for Delaware.

Cozy-Mystery.com also has lists by state, look under Mysteries by Themes.

Does anyone know about a book that takes place in Ireland?

message 66: by Barb (new)

Barb | 1192 comments Top O' the Mournin', by Maddy Hunter, is set in Ireland. It's book #2 in the Passport to Peril series.

❂ Murder by Death (murderbydeath) Nicky wrote: "Does anyone know about a book that takes place in Ireland?"

Also, Buried in a Bog, though it's had mixed reviews.

Love Lowcountry Boil, which takes place in beautiful South Carolina!

And Cindy Blackburn's Cueball series, which is set in lovely North Carolina!

Never been to either state, but would really like to go!
