Amanda (thehopelessbibliophile) | 1 comments I was recently given a bunch of sci-fi books by a friend of my grandmother’s, but I’m having trouble motivating myself to read them on my own as it's not my usual fare. Is anyone up for a read-along?

These are the books (not sure how many of them are even still in print):
- 100 Great Science Fiction Short Short Stories edited by Isaac Asimov
- The Gods Themselves by Isaac Asimov
- The Martian Way by Isaac Asimov
- The Rest of the Robots by Isaac Asimov
- Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury
- The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury
- The October Country by Ray Bradbury
- Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse
- The Black Cloud by Fred Hoyle
- The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells
- The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham
- The Kraken Wakes by John Wyndham
- The Seeds of Time by John Wyndham
- The Trouble with Lichen by John Wyndham

Geoffrey (geoffreythorne) | 17 comments Wow. I haven't even thought about DANDELION WINE in ten years, at least. Nice catch.

stormhawk | 418 comments Wowee. What an awesome haul.

Grab one out of the pile, start reading it, and post comments. I'm sure that you'll get someone to take the bait!

Brian (furicle) | 13 comments Start with The Martian Way and go on to The Day of the Triffids. You'll be happy you did. Or just ship me the box and I'll tell you when I'm done :-) That's an awesome haul you got there - really. Dive in!
