Vanessa (vanessamc) | 646 comments I apologies for getting this up a little late. The rules for this game are as follows:

Anyone can ask a trivia question, either general or from a particular book. If the question is from a specific book, then the name of the book should be given. This will help make it a little easier and hopefully keep the game flowing.

After the question has been posted, the deadline for answering is three days. After three days, a hint may be given by the poster, or a new question can be asked. If it is a hint, then the deadline will be one more day. This hint should be done by an edit of the original post, and not a new post. The answer can be a new post. If the question has still not been answered, after the hint, then a new question can be asked by anyone in the group. The game will flow better if the person giving the answer could ask the next question, but this is not a requirement. There is also not a restriction on how many times a person can play the game in a row.
If the question is answered before the three day deadline, then a new question can be asked, again, by anyone. It will make it easier if the question, answer, and hint is identified:

For example:

The question may be referred to in one of two ways, either with a question mark or the word Question:
The hint should be "Hint:" The Answer can be "Answer:", or someone can ask is it? and then the answer.

Any kind of search engine such as the internet, or other devices may be used. I will try to keep track of the time-line in case askers forget. I can either set up a archive topic of the unanswered questions, or possibly remind the poster if the three day deadline has passed, or even send a pm request for the answer and post myself. If anyone has a idea of what might be better, then please put it in the game suggestion thread. Any other questions, observations or ideas will also be welcome.

Let's see how the game goes. If the rules have to be re-worked, then I will edit this post and notify people with a post in this topic in a new comment that I have revised the rules. I will start the process with an easy general question.

MzDivaDawn | 14 comments Something in my memory tells me Dr. Mira has two children? Though I don't recall ever seeing them, just mentioning them in a conversation between her and Eve ?? I don't have books to refer to, I'm going by memory since I listen to audiobooks, then return them. As far as Peabody's coffee, I'm too scared to attempt that one! LOL I know it's going to be something Peabody-ish! I just can't recall

You're right MzDivaDawn. Congrats!

Do you want to ask the next question?

HINT
The answer can be found in Promises in Death.

Alyssa (alyssa_hesper) Alyssa (Hesperia) wrote: "QUESTION

ANSWER
Since no one has posted an answer yet, I'll give it to you.....$2,300.85.

message 16: by MzDivaDawn (new)

MzDivaDawn | 14 comments I knew I'd never guess that one!

message 17: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 646 comments Well, I guess I'm too late with that one. I'm currently listening to Promises in Death, and just had the answer today. What I really love was the earlier discussion about the money with Peabody when she was drunk. She told Eve that so far, McNab was up one hundreds dollar. What a great part of the book that is. The party from beginning to end, starting with Eve freaking out and begging Roarke to stay until the very end with the smart gal meeting. Awesome!!

message 18: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 646 comments Question: What is the name of the off planet resort belonging to Roarke, and can you name the planet on which it resides?

message 19: by MzDivaDawn (new)

MzDivaDawn | 14 comments Olympus?

message 20: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 646 comments Correct, Dawn!

It is Olympus, and it's actually a space station.

message 21: by MzDivaDawn (new)

MzDivaDawn | 14 comments Yikes - I'm so way past these books, that I can't remember that far back!!

message 22: by Anita (new)

Anita (honeygirl) If I remember correctly, she gave her an old school sheriff's badge.

message 23: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 646 comments I thought the Sheriff's badge was later. What book did she give her the sweater, the one she made? At least I think it was a sweater.

And along the same vein, what was the present Eve gave Roarke for their first Christmas together?

message 24: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 646 comments Correct! Sorry I didn't post sooner; I went away for the weekend and haven't been on Goodreads at all. I think I'm suffering from withdrawal!

message 25: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 646 comments In what book does Peabody pass the Detective Exam, and what was Eve wearing at the ceremony?

message 26: by Vicci (new)

Vicci (theibookemporium) | 26 comments Was it in "Origin in Death"? Eve wore her dress blues, much to Roarke's immense satisfaction, which conjured up all sorts of possibilities.. I remember that he was disappointed when she changed back into her street cloths.

message 27: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 646 comments Hey Vicci,

Your answer about the dress blues is correct, but the book answer is incorrect. The right book is earlier in the series.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments Name the book in which Roarke bought Eve a stuffed Galahad. What did he have to do to make the present special?

message 31: by Grace (new)

Grace | 42 comments Did he change the eye colour to match galahad's? I don't know the book tho, I have to double check!

message 32: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments You are right about changing the eye color. i will hold off on the book so someone else can answer it first.

I'm sorry I haven't gotten back with you sooner. I had to take a break. My husband is pretty sick and the last few weeks has been worse than usual. Anyway yes you are right.

message 35: by Grace (new)

Grace | 42 comments Question: Name the 4 tattoo's Trina puts on Eve and where they are located on her body. Bonus points for the books they appear in!

message 36: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 12874 comments Mod
Donkey on her butt, badge on her breast, hearts on her body below the abdomen with arrows pointing to the hearts, and another heart on her butt (Ceremony in Death).

message 37: by Grace (new)

Grace | 42 comments Good job Jonetta! You got the first three. The last one is on her butt but it wasn't a heart..

It was a rosebud!

message 39: by Grace (new)

Grace | 42 comments Correct! I totally forgot about the hearts and arrows until I researched it. GREAT job!

message 40: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 12874 comments Mod
I have NO idea why I remembered all if these. The donkey was easiest and then the badge. I cannot remember any of the other books where these showed up, however.

message 41: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 646 comments Great question Tyraa!!

message 42: by Grace (new)

Grace | 42 comments That's alright I'll give it to you anyways. Okay I'm going to do another one since no one's posted one yet.

Question: What is Roarke's estimated gross worth in 2058?

Hint: He's definitely loaded haha

message 43: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 12874 comments Mod

Rest in peace...and buy more books:)

Seriously? Take care of family, pay off the mortgage and travel a lot. I don't really long for material things but I like vacationing and seeing the world.

message 46: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments STUDENT LOANS! ;) We only have about 3 billion, 750 million of them! That leaves a whole 50 million to spend on whatever! :D

I'd post a question, but it's almost 2 am, and I'm brain dead!
