Like many others, I became a fan of Carl Sagan upon reading Cosmos in the early 1980s. The television series based on the book was about as compelling and intriguing as the book.
Later, I read Contact and other nonfiction by Dr. Sagan. His views on religion and spirituality are interesting, and I recently discovered his writings on those subjects a couple of years ago.
