Oh, please no, not like Twilight. That would ruin it for sure. I'm not sure how I feel about the actor choices. It'll come down to how well they do in the film, I guess. I suck at picking actors for book characters.
Hmmm...not sure, but Katniss' image is different in my mind...well, that's usual, isn't it.I'll definitely be waiting to see reviews before I head out to see this one, though.
I know it's the Hollywood way to cast older actors, but they're still a bit older than what I pictured while reading, plus, by the time they film all the movies? I don't think I've seen any of their movies though, so hoping they'll do a good job.
I think Liam will work as Gale, but I also thought of Peeta as a bigger protective guy, this actor is the same height as Katniss. These are such good books I hope they don't chop too much out of the story to make the movie. These books really made you feel the trials that they were going thru, I even felt hungry and thirsty too.
Woody Harelson has been cast as Haymitchhttp://moviesblog.mtv.com/2011/05/11/...
It's great they've found a famous actor but I'm not sure he can pull it off.
Hm, I'm not sure I see him as Haymitch. But, I can see him playin' a drunk no problem. LOL! I like him, as an actor, so I hope he does well. Thanks for the update. :)

No worries, I've read them, just would be nice to own in case I want to do a re-read before the movies :)
True. I grabbed the hardcovers while I was in the states last yr. I think it was Target that had the 3-pk in a little box thingy. Hmmm, re-read before the movies sounds good. I may do that too.
Count Down... (I will borrow my son's term)ONLY 3 more sleeps until movie day... Anyone going on opening day??
Got tickets for the midnight show that is sold out(here)! But hey, I did remember to take off on Friday!! Cause I'm no college kid anymore pulling all-niters and taking exams the next day!! Far from it--I need my beauty sleep. Pumped about the movie and not worried at all!! It will be fantastic!Since I've already told you I'm over-the-hill, has anyone seen the hilarious trailer for Dark Shadows a la Tim Burton with Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins? It looks insanely funny!
I wish it was starting here on Friday too! Enjoy and don't forget to pop back in and give us the deets!I did see that, Tessa. It looks good. I really like Johnny Depp and used to watch some of the Dark Shadows TV shows, so I'm interested to see how it is.
I will let you know about the movie, but it seems cruel since you can't see it yet! I got that hardback set for christmas and I would love to get them signed. Have you noticed it's a little harder to loan those out? I'd rather loan a kindle!Depp and Burton are quirky genius! But you're not old enough to have watched Dark Shadows! Must have been re-makes!
I was checking out your blog and that's the first I've seen that they are splitting Mockingjay into 2 parts. Is that still true, have you seen it lately? Just curious.
;) Nah, not old enough to watch them when they first aired, but replays later. Those two are a quirky genius. LOL! Two peas.I'm not sure about the split on the 3rd movie. I haven't heard anything new.
Oooh, I'm seeing it tonight! My sister booked the tickets ages ago and for some reason they're showing it tonight at 8 the day before the release :D
