I am Andy, a recently retired teacher. For most of my life I've started pieces of writing but seldom completed them. With retirement I hope to change that. I've taught creative writing in many forms but recently set up A level Creative Writing in college. I read a lot - always have done. I'm also trying to set up a readers' and writers' group in the area where I live.

I started writing before I retired. I didn't really mean to retire anyway.

Writing in retirement has been so easy and so productive. I sit down after breakfast and do 500 words.

Greetings! I am the author and illustrator of The CritterKin Tales, a series of books for kids between the ages of 6 and 12, told through the eyes of a pack of mixed breed mutts. Each book covers a topic or theme that all kids can relate to. For example, feeling different, bullying making friends.
