I'm not Amy. The "A" stands for Anita.

No problem, using the initials can make it confusing.

Lucy Pireel (lucypireel) | 2 comments Hi peeps,
I'm Lucy (obvious, eh?) I'm an author but also a reader or all sorts. Love to read and review, but I'll always be hones when reviewing. If I like, I'll say so and shout it out to the world. If I think there's all sorts amiss in a book, I'll mail the author and tell them. Offer advice on how and what could be improved before just posting a review which would give the book and author a less favourable review.
I'm of the opinion that it's better to give someone a heads up and the chance to correct than slag someone's work off.
As a writer I write all sorts. Have been published trad and now go the self route, which is immensely satisfying. I'm a control freak. :-)
Anyways, I also blog and invite all to submit their guest posts through my blog as well as requests to review. I also love to help promote authors and their work.
To make a long story short, I love to interact and all that has to do with words.

Susanne Weigand | 3 comments Hello everybody,

I am Susanne and I am living in Germany. I have been an avid reader since childhood and I read nearly everything. Well, nearly. Not so much romance and I my love affair with scifi was 20 years ago.

In germany I am running a blog featuring free and bargain english books for German readers. And at the moment I am helping some German authors who had their books translated into english with finding reviewers and promoting their books.

Looking forward knowing you all!

Susanne

Hello all!

My name's Garrett and I'm a writer, usually of creative nonfiction and literary fiction. I tend to read the same things, mostly to dissect them for technique. I'm also a nonfiction editor of a literary magazine and hope I can one day support myself off of words. Looking forward to interacting with everyone!

message 717: by S.K. (new)

S.K. Munt (wordwhisperer) Hi my name is Samantha! I'm a writer from Australia. After 3 months of struggling with an agent to avoid making my book YA, I've gone on and self-published and it's so bloody exciting I could cry! It's called The Marked Ones and it's a paranormal romance trilogy about mermaids.
I've just gone through THE most exciting two weeks of my life-from terrific sales to newspaper write-ups and an intimate writer's festival with two established authors...and now I'm starting to get fan mail and GOOD critical reviews.
I basically look like I've slept with a coat hanger in my mouth :) Would love to hear other people's stories.

Hi everyone! I'm an indie author, I just published my first ebook two days ago, and I'm very excited (and nervous) about the experience! I would love more than anything to share my book to you all to read... It's called Burning Attraction, and it's available on Kindle for $2.99. It's a steamy romance and is currently #2 on Amazons Top 100 Hot New Releases in Love & Romance! It's the first book in a three part series. Please, give it a try!!! I'd appreciate it tons.

Also, if you could give it a review when you're done, I would appreciate it more than you know!! Thanks again, Xx, Ashley!

A little about myself: I'm 25, a mother of two, live in Maine, and have a passion for reading and writing. I love my family and friends, love to shop, swim, travel, and watch addictive TV series & movies!

My facebook fan page is, http://www.facebook.com/ashleybealeau... to learn more about me, my book, and future projects!! When I reach 200 likes I'll be giving out a Free ARC of my book, Burning Attraction!!

Books I LOVE: The Edge of Never, Taking Chances, Stealing Harper, Reason to Breathe series, Fifty Shades of Grey series, Fallen Too Far series, The Vincent Brothers and the Vincent Boys, Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster. There are so many more, I could go on forever!

Antony Millen | 6 comments Hi everyone - I've added a post to the author's sections but wanted to introduce myself here as well. I am a Canadian living and writing in rural New Zealand.

I have joined the group as a writer - I have just written and published my first novel, "Redeeming Brother Murrihy: The River To Hiruharama" (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18...)

I also love to read fiction and enjoy talking about the writing process. I teach Secondary English - but I am very aware of the line between analysing books in a way that enhances appreciation and analysing them in ways that kill the fun.

Cheers.

Toni Bunnell (tonibunnell) | 27 comments Hi Anthony I remember it well. I bought a great hat from there - labelled as an Australian bush hat - which I am wearing a lot at the moment during the heat wave in the UK. Hard to imagine a heat wave in the UK -but there you are.

message 739: by S.K. (new)

S.K. Munt (wordwhisperer) I live in the most tropical part of Australia and I'm wearing 2 jumpers, it's that cold!

message 740: by Toni (new)

Toni Bunnell (tonibunnell) | 27 comments Of course - Southern Hemisphere - with amazing skies! Normally cold in the UK at the moment (even though it's meant to be summer). Totally unusual to have a heat wave in the UK.

message 741: by S.K. (new)

S.K. Munt (wordwhisperer) Totally unusual for us to be actually cold in the winter! It was hot last week-everyone thought the 'snap' had come and gone. Apparently not.

message 742: by Toni (new)

Toni Bunnell (tonibunnell) | 27 comments And in the UK we were told it would rain all through the summer - which we believed because that is so normal - seems that they were wrong - fortunately!

Hey-O Everybody who takes a gander upon this post!
My name is Jeffrey Clemmons, and I am new young novelist (very young ^^) and I wrote the book The Maze Games, and I am currently working on it's sequel, the Dungeon of Chaos. There are to be 5 books in the series, and just so you know, my publisher is working on the eBook right now. In addition to the Maze Games, I am also working on a new Apocalyptic series called the Plague, due out hopefully in 2014.

Check out my writings on writing at my blog: Clockpens.blogspot.com

I'm always open to fan/friends, so I hope that we can have a great time together!
Cheers!

Hi K, just posting ideas as and when: Setting up a really good website seems to be a priority but you probably know that already. Other than that it seems to be a case of going on as many threads as possible. I wonder how effective this is - time will tell and unfortunately there aren't enough hours in the day if you hope to have a life as well! http://tinyurl.com/merwq7w Toni Bunnell
