Welcome Jenny, lovely to have you with us:) (We welcomed you back in Aug, but it's nice to have you back!)

Joanne (shuangs) | 128 comments Hi Jenny, welcome to the group. Ah, the fun of pay to read. I don't wish for more, only if i got pay for buying books, then, that will be quite enough. :)
Well, as i'm on surgery recovery mode does give me more time on reading.i suppose to rest and recover. I do miss going out though. As someone was quite an active person, be in door doesn't really help. That is why, i use most of the time reading, and reread books.
I also have limited access to books. As someone who's vision impaired, i can only rely on what is available electronicly and have Screenreader like Voiceover to read it for me. So, i guess, in a way, i'm listening to books than reading it. In a more positive note, that save me on getting my eyes tired :)
Happy reading all. :)

Liza Perrat (httpwwwgoodreadscomlizaperrat) Hi everyone,
I'm Liza, a Wollongong girl, though I have lived in rural France for 20 years now. I still miss Australia very much though, and try to get home for a visit once a year. And since my 2 daughters have now moved to Australia, I'd like to go back even more!

Welcome Liza and AC, lovely to have you with us:)

@Liza, we hope you come back often too, though I've heard France is lovely:)

@AC, if you'd like to promote your work you are more than welcome to make your own thread in the author section http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...

If you have any promotions i.e. giveaways etc, please put them either in your thread, or here http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...

Advise for our authors is here http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

Enjoy the group, both of you:)

Liza Perrat (httpwwwgoodreadscomlizaperrat) Thanks for the warm welcomes, everybody! Yes, France is nice, @Brenda, but nothing beats the Aussie beaches for crowd-free relaxation.

Hi Kathryn, welcome to the group. It's lovely to have you with us:)

Can I ask you please to edit your above post so you're not promoting your work in this thread? Thanks...for our author promotions, we have a specific section http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_... where you can make your own thread and promote there. Doing it in other threads only means it gets lost, doing it the author thread means we will all see it, and can check out your work:)

Check this link out too http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

Enjoy browsing and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask:)

message 4662: by Katrina (new)

Katrina | 118 comments Hi my name is Katrina.
Thanks for directing me Brenda to where I should introduce myself. Am still struggling with working out all that GR has to offer! I have been a member for a little while, but not had a chance to comment!
I live in Perth, am a pharmacist and have loved reading since I can remember. I have a book with me at all times....just in case.
I like action books, chick-lit and anything with a good story. Getting time to read is a challenge at the moment...but loving audio books currently as I can then 'read' and get things done :)

message 4668: by Renae (new)

Renae (renaev) Hi everyone. My name's Renae and I'm a bookaholic from Geraldton, WA.
I love YA though have started branching out, thanks to Goodreads. Being that alot of my friends and family either don't read or read totally different types to me (eg. horror and war), joining GR was the best thing to happen to me. Helps me to keep up with new books, while discovering old ones I would never have thought of reading/looking for.

Mel | 7 comments Hi everyone, I'm mel, 34, living on the Gold Coast. I hated reading until about 10 years ago, I now look back and see books as a life saver. The book that turned me around would have to be April Fool Day
I have my fav authors, but give me a book and I will give it a go. At the moment I am making my way through V. C. Andrews books and loving them.

Hi, my name is Catherine Feeny. I'm not an Aussie, I'm afraid, (I'm a Pom) and I have never been to Australia, but I love Australian fiction and it is the very top of the places I want to visit. Favourite Aussie authors: Kate Grenville, Tim Winton and Christos Tsiolkas. Also crazy about Australian films, having grown up in the great era of My Brilliant Career and Picnic At Hanging Rock. Any book recommendations gratefully received.

Kerrin Proctor (tlelover91) Hey everyone, my name is Kerrin, I am 21 (turning 22 on the 27th of this month) and I joined this group to share my love of reading with other people.

My favourite books are of the non-fiction type. I love to learn new things.

I am currently reading Losing My Virginity 52 Times by David Tieck. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.

I look forward to hearing from everyone :)
