Loretta, please go to the Author Spotlight section to promote your work. You can make your own thread, that way it will be seen by all. Here it will be lost in the crowd:)

Yes that's fine..you will be & you can promote as things move along. It's not a problem in our group.

I thought I would join this group as I spent two years in your fine country (hooray for Melbourne!) and truly love the Aussie spirit and people. I'm originally a Brit, now living in Canada (working my way around the commonwealth) I'm 32, an avid reader and occasional writer. Looking forward to lots of interesting discussions.

My name is J B Mccauley and I am a retired Music Journalist / Reporter living on the NSW SOuth Coast. In a shameless attempt to help promote my latest novel The King of Sunday Morning which is set in beautiful Sydney, I would like to make friends within this group to help spread the word about this antipoedean Novel lol
Hope you are all enjoying the Winter sunshine (in SYdney at least)

Welcome to the group JB and I hope you enjoy it here.
We are more than happy for Authors to promote their books but could you please promote it in the Aussie Authors Spotlight.
Have you set up your own thread yet? if not you are welcome to do so. Here's the link:

I live in Tamworth and get most of my books from the library. We have a great library with great staff. I love good reads for opening my eyes to books I otherwise would not know about.
Looking forward to participating in this challenge. Especially the books outside my normal choices such as the thriller/suspense book.

(I am really lazy and usually just sign L as I find "Lia" way too long!)
Welcome Lia, great to have you with us, and especially being brand new, and diving into the winter challenge head on!! Good for you...and yes, Lia is way too long;)

I joined this group a while back but neglected to introduce myself. My name is Donna Gallagher and I'm from Sydney. I'm a wife, mother, sister, aunt, rugby league fanatic, reader and author. I'm also addicted to social media and just about anything else that can distract me from doing what I should be doing. The day I discovered ebooks was a great day, now I don't have to hide books just credit card statements!
Cheers,
Donna

sadly my husband and son are Collingwood fans!

Oh dear. That won't be easy in your house on Friday night Lia

Hi Lia - I was bought up a bulldogs supporter, my sister brainwashed me. Lol! Now I go for the warriors and the reason for that is a story in itself.

Hey Lia, me too - chronic insomniac. I'm always up from about 3am; lonesome time of the morning but good time to read!

Welcome Sandra, lovely to have you with us:) Your home sounds wonderful...we lived in Canberra for 6 years, and loved it.

My name is Owen Baillie and I live in Melbourne. Just joined Goodreads and just indie published my first YA novel Cinema 13. I love reading but often my reading time is taken up by writing!
Thanks for having me,
Owen
