Sandra ~aka vamp gal~ (akavampgal) | 77 comments Hey, I'm Sandra
Been reading for only 5 years and can't seem to stop....oh well..... I love Paranormal romance and historical romance. I'm open to reading anything as long as it grabs me within a couple of pages. Bios I stay away from cause I'm a softy and they always make me cry. I'm looking forward to joining in and getting some good old Aussie opinions!

message 3305: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimbreads) Hi everyone I'm James. I love a wide variety of books, and am about 50/50 fiction and non-fiction these days. In terms of fiction, I love anything character driven. Tim Winton is my favourite Australian, I have a soft spot for anything historical, love Hemmingway and the 'Lost Generation' in general, and my all-time favourite book is 'Catcher in the Rye'.

Why not ? But you know it's kinda hard to maintain once you've created it. I have one now yet I'm planning to delete the site.

Taylor Longford Hi! I'm Taylor Longford and author of the Greystone Series for Young Adults. I joined this group because Mickey invited me. Also because my books only sell at night when I'm asleep so I assume only Australians are reading them, hahaha.

(I live in America.)

best,
taylor

Krista the Krazy Kataloguer (kristathekrazykataloguer) | 1 comments Hello! I'm not Australian, alas, but I am interested in learning more about Australian literature, both children's and adult. I am a librarian living in Rome, New York, USA. I've read some books by Australian writers, including B. Wongar, Shaun Tan, John Marsden, Gabrielle Lord, Alan Marshall, Marlo Morgan, Alan Baillie, Graeme Base, Mem Fox, Jackie French, Morris Gleitzman, Steven Herrick, Paul Jennings, Ruth Park, Joan Phipson, Ivan Southall, and Patricia Wrightson--mostly children's authors, actually. I've read quite a bit about the history of Australia, and would like to visit some day, so I'm interested in reading books about Australia too. Thanks for the invite to the group!
