Introduce yourselves!

I'm originally from Rockhampton in Central QLD. We lived in Melbourne for 5 years and Sydney for 5 years. One day, we will return but no idea when or where...maybe the Sunshine Coast.
Welcome Leigh...it's lovely to have you with us:) You must enjoy Singapore, having been there for 8 years, but you're welcome back to Oz whenever you like;) Enjoy our group!

Thanks for that Leigh...we have lots of Aussie things happening in this group, whether it be just chatting about our every day, or recommending our great Aussie authors, of which you are one! http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... So please feel free to browse, and enjoy our threads!

I am a writer with four books published so far, all of which have been set in America. However, on 1 August my first Australia-based novel will be released. I'm pretty excited about that. :-D I never suspected how much fun it would be to write something in which I could use the word 'drongo'.
Anyway! I'm looking forward to being a part of this group, and maintaining my virtual relationship with home.
Welcome Julie, lovely to have you with us. Your profile http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... looks good:) What is your new Aussie based novel called Julie...do you have a link for it yet?

Thanks for the welcome, Brenda, and the kind words! Not to mention the query re my novel... (You know how to make an author happy, eh?)
The novel is called Butterfly Hunter. It isn't on Goodreads yet, but you can find it on the publisher's website here: http://www.manifoldpress.co.uk/2012/0...
Warning: It is intended only for those over 18! ;-)

I have created it for you Julie, with the only things needed being ISBN and whether paperback or hardcover. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...
Let me know if I've done anything incorrectly with it, won't you. It sounds great:) Congrats on it too!

You're welcome Julie:)

You're welcome Julie:)

While I began life as a Yankee through no fault of mine, I moved to Australia as a teen and have lived here for yonks. And I am a dual national with my heart on my Australian sleeve.
I love reading, and I have just published my first novel. Literally, it was launched last Friday.

I'll post more about that in the appropriate section of these posts.
Cheers
Zanesh Catkin

Thanks Brenda and Michael!

Thanks Dale. Yes, I am thrilled. And when a few people who have read it tell me they enjoyed it, I am thrilled all over again!

hi all again... I've returned after an extended break from the threads. Life took over and I hadn't the time to keep up with all replies :(
Hopefully this stay will be permanent.
I hope all are doing well, and look forward to some great book discussions again. :)
Take care,
Shane

Thanks again Brenda :)
Wonderful to be back again.
