Lee (kiwifirst) Hi Laurel, I bought the standard wifi one. I personally didn't want a 3G one as I could use the wifi at home and work to synch.
Last night i actually managed to email ebooks directly to my kindle from my computer, as I have lots of e-books already. But if your computer isn't on the internet, you can always connect via usb and drag and drop books directly into the kindle directory.
If you don't have access to a wifi connection, they you will need to buy the 3G one.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask more questions if you need to.

toilet toilet toilet ... I remember what it was like when I lived over there ... took a while to break the habit of saying 'toilet' and then when I got back a year later, I had to break into the habit. Welcome.

Dear Lee,

I think the standard Kindle $139 should suit me. I am on WiFi or so my box says. I downloaded Kindle's free book - Sherlock Holmes, to my computer and it downloaded in less than a minute. Marvellous. What I would like to know is - do I have to order other equipment with it eg maybe a battery charger as you use with a mobile phone. Thank you with your help with this. I might add that I live in Western Australia so I suppose the Kindle would be compatible. I presume you live in Oz too. Laurel

Trina (trina88) Just introducing myself.

I'm Trina, 22, from Tamworth. I read a lot and I try to read a wide range. In my spare time I'm a psych student, and I do like to read some psych based non-fiction, and I'm also interested in science in general. Don't really know what else to say! I love adding new friends on here and I'm always open to book suggestions!

Lee (kiwifirst) Hi Trina, welcome, I am sure that you'll have fun here, and it will become your fav forum.
Just so you know, Michael makes $5.50 for every book sale in Australia for the book "before I fell asleep". He then divides that up amongst the others, giving them 50c each to tell you to read it. They haven't convinced me yet, because I can see though their nefarious ways.
As a psych student I am positive you will spot this devious plan a mile away. You may also be in a position to spot that we like to have fun here. I say that like I have been part of this group for years, when in fact, I joined Monday, but look at me already, waffling on ..........
Right i'll sign off.

Lee (kiwifirst) My spoon doubles as a spoon, it's quite versatile.

Is it safe to send someone to the Chamber of death whilst they are reading Evil Genius
