Hi Sam....welcome to the group, if you ever get to the Land Of Oz I'm sure you will love it!!!

Hi Mandy,
I was born in the States, 2nd generation French, but I spent most of my life in Mexico City. I was a Singer/Entertainer & I sang in Spanish & English. I also modeled there & did translations. I studied most of my life Jazz, Classical, & Modern Ballet & also took voice lessons. I play several instruments also. I'm retired now & I'm back in the states dealing with all the crazy weather we have in Indiana. ;) I'm an avid reader & I'll read "almost" anything. I love reading books set in foreign countries & I'm looking forward to learning more about Australia through their author's imagination. Now that I'm old, I consider myself an arm chair traveler!! LOL! Thanks for welcoming me to the group. I'm looking forward to reading some books set in sunny Australia. ;)
BTW, I forgot to add that after I returned to the States I went back to College & got a double degree in Fine Arts (my specialty is Graphic Design, although I love to paint & sclupture)& Languages. I speak French, Spanish & English & I understand a bit of Italian & Portugese. I love languages & people of different nationalities. I consider myself a citizen of the world! ;)
Ciao For Now,
Quetzi

Hello Quetzi!!!
Hi everyone!
My name is Melissa and I am in Geelong, Victoria. I have always been a bit of a bookworm but it's only been in the last 2 years that I have discovered (and been hooked on) YA books.
I recently started my own book review website which is called Book Nerd Reviews - http://www.booknerdreviews.com, so if you want check that out. I am hoping to get more and more reviews up there soon.
When I'm not reading, I am an avid photographer and I often do photoshoots for friends and family and their children. Word has started to travel so that has been keeping me pretty busy. I also like to spend time with my boyfriend and go to Melbourne Storm games! ;)

haha sameee :D
Welcome Peep & Karen, if you havent been scared away...

I'm Anne and I am a High School English Teacher in Sydney. I get bogged down in a lot of school texts but try to keep up with books, particularly as I teach Extension 1 and 2 English, extension 2 being a subject where the kids have 9 months to create a substantial creative major work. My favourite Australian book is Rhubarb by Craig Silvey. See my review for comments if interested.

Hello Anne..

I've been part of Goodreads for 2 years, a user on and off, but didn't realise there was an outpost for Aussies.
I read and write, while fantasy is mostly my thing. Previously, I was a bookseller. I'm currently in Perth, but have also lived in Sydney.
Big welcome Colin!! Oh oops! I just suggested Carmel's link to you in the WA thread....we're enthusiastic, aren't we...:D LOL
