My name is Nicola and I am originally from England but now live in Adelaide (since 2007) with my Australian fiance. We get married later this year. I found this group when my friend Sarah mentioned my book on here and thought I'd join.
I have always loved reading and writing and in the last few months I finally realised my dream. My first e-book (a short story) came out last month and my second e-book (a novella) came out just yesterday.
I look forward to getting to know everyone on here and seeing what everyone is reading!

Hi BD! I've actually seen your profile around and was wondering whether to invite you to join but I figured you'd be too busy with moderating your 2 groups. Sounds like you get lots of fun out of goodreads like me and thanks for joining Aussie Readers. Any suggestions are always welcome!!:)

:D Thanks Mandy

I'll kind of re-introduce myself seeing as I've been MIA in the hospital for the past few months.
I'm Trace, I write, I read and at the moment can't do much more than that. Still have to spend six weeks in isolation after the bone marrow transplant so I'll be around a bit more often ;)
All the best Tracey, I suppose you are probably sick of hearing it, but, she'll be right eh!

Tracey - I actually read an article over the weekend about a man who had a bone marrow transplant some years ago and is doing pretty well. So keep your chin up!
I hope your donor was closer than his - his marrow had to come to Oz from England! The mind boggles.
Read lots, write as much as you want, and smell the roses.

Great to hear from you again Tracey! I thought something was up when we hadn't heard from you for a while. Hope the operation wasn't too draining and that you've got a lot more energy now since the transplant. Six weeks in isolation hey!! At least you'll be able to catch up on some reading/writing while you're stuck in hospital.:)

Brenda, there is a low up here that could form today into a cyclone, but, the experts say is moving away from the coast, though, as we all know this could change at the drop of a hat.

I do so hope it goes out to sea...I think the season of cyclones should be over by now...Yasi was enough for the next few years! We are cruising at the end of April, and I HOPE there are no cyclones in the vicinity then...:(

Thanks :D - I'm counting on it!

To everyone else - thanks so much for all your thoughts, prayers etc. I'm really starting to feel a lot better since the bone marrow transplant. The match was perfect from my eldest niece J who is also recovering nicely. I've decided to look at the six weeks as a blessing in disguise - I can work, talk online, get three meals a day I don't have to cook and I don't even have to make my bed ;)

It's called Vision or Delusion and other stories, and you can see the preview here:
https://www.createspace.com/Preview/1...
The layout in the preview is nothing like it looks in the book, so it's the tone and content, just the actual writing, that you are suppose to comment on. I hope some of you will go on over and give a fellow Aussie's work a look and a star.

Great attitude, Tracey....the 3 meals, no cooking, no dishes and no bed making is a definite PLUS!! :D
