You're forgiven ;)

You're forgiven ;)

Nice to meet you all!

I'm really looking forward to finding some great Australian authors and literature, and of course learning more about your beautiful country.
Welcome Jingles, it's great to have you with us. Hope you enjoy the group and our challenges as well as everything else 😊

I'm Mark, an avid reader since I was 15 (sadly that was 42 years ago!). I'll read any fiction (other than romance and historical fiction) although crime would be my most frequent choice.
I love Australian (and NZ) fiction by the likes of Peter Temple (I’ll miss him), Garry Disher and alike. Those dry, terse sentences that capture what I think of as Australia.
I will try to contribute to this group but I’m an introvert with poor writing skills who struggles to articulate deep thoughts so don’t get your hopes up!
Welcome to the group Mark, it's lovely to have you. Participate when you want - it's also fine if you'd like to "lurk" until you find something which interests you ;)

Welcome Mark, fellow introvert. You don't have to write much here, just posting what you have read, and your rating is plenty, because we are all always looking for good books to read :)
There is another group also you might like (a lot of us are in both groups) https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/....
Hope you enjoy it here :)

"Lurking" I can do.

I was a member of Aussie Readers a few years ago now and had lots of fun with it. For a variety of reasons I stopped all the groups I was on, but have been reading, just not as much as I used to (health issues). But now its time to rejoin the group.
I'm 59, about to retire this year, so I'll have more time for reading and joining in. I live in Adelaide and have all my life. I'm planning on travelling a bit more. Sadly I've just cancelled a trip to Iran as it isnt necessarily the right time to be there.
I look forward to sharing books with you all, and learning lots from everyone.
Maggie
