My name is Debra Magee. I live in Ballarat Victoria with my partner and my beautiful Ragdoll cat Gemma. It is only in the last few years I took up reading again. I love reading thrillers/mysteries.
I read earlier this year a book by a first time Aussie author Damian William Tauschke. The book was called 'What Was Once Lost'. The cover looked western and I hesitated but I gave it a try, being an Aussie author and first time I wanted to give him a go. Absolutely loved the book, it was engrossing from start to finish. If anyone has read it, do you agree? If you haven't read it give it a go. It's well worth a read.
Would love to hear from anyone regarding other Aussie author books that you have read and suggest worth a read.
Hope to hear from you soon :)
Welcome to the group Debra :) Head to our threads and you'll find plenty of places where you can strike up a chat about books you've read or are reading. Enjoy!

Yes it’s a lovely place, Debra. We took a drive to there on Sunday and although it was chilly there were still plenty of people out enjoying the day.

Just scroll down and check each one out - under this one :)

I’m Michelle. I’ve just hit the nifty fifty’s. I’m a mum of 2 and a Nana of 3. I’ve been reading all my life. I enjoy thrillers, true stories and adult fairytales. Thanks for the add
Welcome Shennae, nice to have you with us. Head to the threads, you'll find recommendations there plus you can chat in specific threads to find your answers. Best not in here as things get lost in the introduction thread 😊

Perthite here too. All of Jane Harper’s books come to mind re Australian reading. She depicts the outback really well. Then there’s Caroline Da Costa and our own Perth YA writer A J Betts.
Shennae has opened a thread for your recommendations Choopie :) https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
