Hi everyone, My name is Heather. I have been on Goodreads for quite a few years now. I mainly only used it to keep track of what i was reading and to check ratings and sometimes read reviews.
But, I really want to make an effort this year to make friends. Also, I have been trying my hand at reviews. Which is something that i want to get really great at, because im really passionate about the books i read. I also want to fan-girl with like minded people about my book babies!!

Hi Heather. We have a state by state roundup if you have not seen it already, and a couple of areas have members meeting up to. You might want to check that out. personally, Goodreads got me into reviewing and I have loved it :)

Hey there! I've been on goodreads for a little over a year now but only used it for personal tracking. Figured I may as well check out the social side :) Wasn't a big reader growing up, but now it's become a genuine interest. I like science fiction, and I have a bunch of classic stuff to get through eventually. Looking forward to some good discussions!

I know what you mean, i was the same. Just used Goodreads for Tracking. Also, i wasnt big on reading groqing up either.

There are also State threads where you can post in the Victoria one, and if you keep your eye out, the Melbourne guys have the occasional get together where you could go along and meet some new friends :)

Naw thanks for the warm welcome and the heads up. Would absolutely love to meet writers from Melbz. Am a Sydney-based writer working on my debut novel.
Also host my own podcast called "Talking Aussie Books" which I thought members might be interested in learning about. Available on SoundCloud and iTunes.
Its mission statement is to shine a spotlight on Australian authors (established and upcoming). Each week I interview a different Australian fiction writer about their current new release. Some of the authors I've hosted on the podcast include Natasha Lester, Holly Ringland, Sandie Docker, Dianne Blacklock, Tania Blanchard, Christian White, Josephine Moon, Vanessa Carnevale, Penelope Janu, Joanna Nell and many more.
