Introduce yourselves!

Pronounced "eee-on", well that's how my parents have pronounced it! Yes went through a phase in life (like any kid) that this was all to hard, wanted to change name. Get older, now just used to it, as is somewhat unique / not so common name :)

I've always wanted to write as well, but a busy career and 4 hourly travel time to and from my job left little time for that. I also care for my ill wife and daughter. A temporary change of circumstances has allowed me to start writing and I published my first children's book on Amazon which I'm still a bit nervous about. Looking forward to chatting here and making friends as I'm kinda shy in real life.
Cheers.

Welcome Mark! I'm glad the opportunity to write has come for you! :)

Sounds like you have lots on your hands, congrats on your book!
No need to be shy here! These are the nicest people you could ever meet.

Cheers everyone, and thank you.

Theresa here waving from Sydney!
I joined a couple of weeks ago but was too shy to say hello.
Still feeling my way around Goodreads and the various groups.
I used to be able to read at least a book a week but now with trying to juggle kids and writing, that has dropped off.
Mainly read YA Fantasy.
I love cooking, and walking and travelling. I also used to teach high school but am now home full-time as Mum.

Please don't be shy, everyone here is lovely! You'll fit right in being from Sydney and all. =o)
I'm from the US and I feel like I was adopted into the family shortly after I joined about a year and a half ago.
