Newly published crime author, also with a kids' book under my belt.
Awesome to find a page here just for Aussies. Beaudy!
I love crime fiction, especially with lots of humor in it. Also biographies of interesting people - goodies and baddies!
Currently a huge rap for Emma Viskic as an Aussie writer. Check her out if you haven't already (Resurrection Bay; And Fire Came Down).
Welcome Blair :) Lovely to have you with us! If you'd like to give us details of your new crime book and children's book too, head to the Author Spotlight section - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group... - click "new topic" in the top right hand corner, and create your own thread.
And yes, we love Emma Viskic's work - top class!!

Hi there. Thankyou so much. I look forward to getting used to the site - it's all new to me. Nice to meet you too. Please feel free to come talk to me anytime you like. 🤗

Thanks Brenda, will do.

Thankyou so much! I'm totally new to Goodreads, just released my first novel and have no experience navigating this site yet.... I need L plates. Lol

"How do you do that?"

I thought it wouldn't hurt to do it again. Hope it helps.
We are all here if you have more questions, of course. 😊

Anyway, welcome, again!
Hello fellow vegemitearians. ( I have no idea if that's even close to the correct spelling or in describing those of us who live in the land of vegemite, Holden cars and Kangaroos.)
Like everyone on Goodreads I love a good read. I've even tried writing a few. :)
I reside in Gippsland Victoria, on the coast; the sea inspires me and I love walking the beach.
Having just joined your site, I am an anxious to explore and make new friends. Happy Christmas to everyone.
Cheers Arch.

Thank you everyone for your very kind welcome. I have much to explore and I'd love to chat, especially to any other struggling authors floundering out of their depth. It would be nice to know I have company.
Cheers, Arch.
Cheers, Arch.
Thank you Krystal. Good to say hello to another Melburnian ... or is it Melbournite? Cheers, Arch. :)
Very clever Carolyn, but is it Sydneyite or Sydneysider? I know we're not Melbounesiders ... :)
Oh dear, have I started something ... So Michael, is it Adelaidian or Adelaidean ? Somehow Adelaidesider isn't right; sounds a bit Appleciderish ... :)

Thanks Jenny. I like your books! Looks very much like my hardcopy library.

That's hilarious! What is a person from New South Wales called? A New South Wailian? Sounds a bit sooky. :) Just kidding ...

Hi Phrynne. Hope you don't mind having a bit of fun with this. Your claim is a bit gender specific for our modern age. How about "New South Welshwoman"?? :) Or "New South Welshperson"? I think NSW needs an upgrade.

How about we head to the Chat thread to continue our stately discussion? Then lots of others can join in too :)

I read widely when it comes to YA, and enjoy everything from contemporary, romance, mystery / thriller to spec-fic. My debut novel ‘The Third Kiss’ came out last August with Entangled Teen and is a paranormal romance set in Sydney.
I look forward to meeting many of you through the threads and reading challenges.
Kat
