Hello. I'm Ash!
I'm new and just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Melbourne and work as a computer technician full time.
I am an avid reader and will read lots of different genres so i don't really have a favourite. I do prefer Romance though and will often only review Romance titles.
I am really into true crime as well and listen to a lot of podcasts about true crime on my way to and from work.
I have two cavalier king charles spaniels that are my little babies and I often enjoy a good cuddle on the couch with them whilst reading a book!
Look forward to talking with more of you.
Happy Reading!

My name is Samantha, and I live by the beach in Victoria. I've been writing for a really long time and have just published my first novel 'The Bay of Shadows' (in keeping with my love of the sea). My true love, however, is reading, because long before I was a writer I was a reader! It all started in primary school when I read Jack London's 'White Fang', and since then I have been completely hooked.
I love all stories, but have a special place for Australian ones. Peter Temple, Kate Grenville, and Chloe Hooper are some of my favourites. I look forwards to sharing all things books with you.

Welcome to the group Samantha :) Lovely to have you with us. If you'd like to talk about your novel (Congratulations by the way!) you can create your own thread in our Author Spotlight section - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group... - top right hand corner "new topic" and go from there :)

Welcome Deb :) It's lovely to have you with us and I hope you can get back into reading with your new kindle as well as suggestions and recommendations for the group!

This is my first ever online group and I can't imagine a better one....reading and Australia, two of my favourite things!
I read most genres, but historical fiction, is my favourite. I am fascinated by people's lives between 1900 and 1950. I'm a sometimes writer and have been lazily working on a novel for the past four years! I'm also crazy about classic films.
I live in Victoria, time split between Melbourne and our gorgeous alpine valley.

Welcome Helena :) Lovely to have you with us! You'll enjoy it here - we definitely have both! Aussies and reading ;) You certainly live in a beautiful part of the country!

My name is Nigel, and I live in Brisbane. Have always loved reading, quite a range of tastes, but I guess mostly historical fiction and crime (in its many variations), as well as spy/espionage (Le Carre, Graham Greene and Len Deighton mostly). Only recently joined goodreads, enjoying seeing what others are reading and getting some ideas about new authors.
Cheers
PS I see there are not too many men in this community!

I mostly write romance but I read all sorts of books including sci-fi, fantasy, and the occasional non-fiction. I'm looking forward to using goodreads to help me get back into the habit of reading every day again. Last year I only read about four books, even though I used to go through at least one a week as a kid!
And of course, I'm looking to read more work by Australian authors, and books that are set in Australia. Nice to meet you all!
Hi Casey! Welcome to the group :) I see you found the Author Spotlight section already... feel free to create your own thread there to tell us about your work...
