Hello & allow me to briefly introduce myself:
I was born and educated in Switzerland (economics & philosophy) but my country of choice is Australia where I've become naturalized and live since 1998 (Port Douglas, QLD).
My passion is writing practical philosophy books; my latest book just got published as a Paperback as well as a Kindle ebook.
All new to Goodreads, I hope to meet many new friends here and contribute to interesting discussions.

Happy to hear about your fond memories and yes, Switzerland is also a nice country, although is has changed quite a bit... there are 2+ million more people living there compared to when I left and that is quite a lot in such a small place. I see that we not only share the love of books but also the tropical life in Australia, sweat, sweat! :-)

I am an Aussie storyteller with 15 published books and one coming. However, my main occupation is professional grandfather. I want there to be a future for all the kids on this planet, and a future worth living in. Everything I've done since 1972 is with this aim.
But then, everyone under 25 seems like a kid to me.
Like George Washington, I cannot tell a lie. I've gotten active on Goodreads because the publisher of one of my books has organised a giveaway, which is running right now, but I won't tell you about it. :)

Look, I am geographically challenged. When my kids were little, they were in the back seat of the car. I'd say, "I think we need to turn left here," and they'd chant, "Turn right! Turn right!" You know, they were 100% correct.
Also, currently I am working on my current project (4th book of a so far unpublished science fiction series), and listening to Chopin, and following discussions in 4 Goodreads groups.
Life can be SO boring! Wish there was something to do!
