Hi everyone, I'm Cece, a 20 year old Christian from Queensland, it's lovely to meet you all! :). I'm a writer of romance and lover of the same. I've only just recently joined goodreads and thought it would be cool to connect with and meet people who live in the same country as me :)
My book tastes are pretty specific; a fairly clean romance (kissing is fine), no violence, no deaths, no bad language, fairly minimal conflict, nothing anxiety provoking.
My writing tastes are exactly the same, and on that note, if anyone also writes clean romance and ever wants a story looked over, I also happen to love editing! :)

Are you talking about the good reads challenge? They usually advertise it in a banner on the home page January 1st USA time.

You pick how ever many books you think you can read in a year. So if you read 1 book a month you pick 12 and if you read 1 book a week then 52 is your choice.

You can update it during the year. I set my initial goal low then edit it up as I approach my goal.

Our yearly group reading challenge has 3 levels - 12, 24 and 36 books a year. You select what level you can read at - I always pick 12 then see how I go. This year I finished my 12 early on so went up to 24 and now I am 1 book off the 36 ;)

I currently live in melbourne but I have lived all over Australia.

I am a huge reader, ever since i was a kid reading by torchlight under the covers so my parents didn't know how late I was staying up.

I will read just about anything and have recently started enjoying biographies and no fiction as well as a lot of young adult. Most of my book choices come from recommendations from friends so I am always up for a chat about what you are currently in to and keen to swap suggestions.

Hi, I'm Lisa and live in Brisbane, I work as a teacher aide and am studying literature and creative writing part time and, yes, I have a book addiction :) I love literary fiction, and great Aussie stories like those of Tim Winton, really enjoyed Hannah Kent's Burial Rites and am looking forward to reading her next book, have been wanting to start read Charlotte Wood's first book have not found a copy yet but I'm on the case. Really looking forward to see what other Aus readers are reading and discussing it with all of you :)

It's great to see in the recommendations links, Jasper Jones, The Book Thief and Geraldine Brooks books...loved them all, my teenage daughter just finished JJ and loved it as much as I did.

I have just self-published my first ebook - however I earn my bread and butter as a Naturopath, Remedial Massage and Bowen Therapist.
Aside from reading and writing, my hobbies are photography, showing, obedience training and breeding Boxer dogs, horses and keeping Silkie chickens. I live on just under four acres on which my talented hubby maintains beautiful gardens.
