New to goodreads, I've been living in ozzieland for over two years now.

I live in Sydney and moving here means that I lost all my library overseas, but I'm working on it ;-)

Welcome Jass, great to have you with us:) As regards Aussie authors, I was part of the uninitiated way back 3 or 4 years ago until we had the Year of Reading. I began to actively read Aussie authors then and am blown away by the talent in Australia. Yes there are some "not so good" but the majority I have found are excellent! I hope you'll enjoy browsing the threads and find a lot to suit your tastes:)

Hi Jass. I now often prefer Aussie authors, but not always the award-winners. You just enjoy what you enjoy and don't worry about the reviews. The time will come when you want to tell everyone how much you loved some book you never heard of and need everyone to know about so we can read it too. Welcome!
