Um, hi? I'm Luscinia, a young high school girl who joined goodreads to try to keep track of books I read and discover new books. I moved to Australia from China at the age of nine, and am really excited to learn more about the culture I'm now a part of.

Reading for me started as a way to practice English (if I make mistakes let me know). Good fantasy/sci-fi books are rare gems in China, as most fiction stories are either really awful or written in another country and translated. For example, the Chinese version of famous books such as Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings have ridiculously complicated names and extremely hard to make sense of.

Please forgive my semi rant. I read fantasy and historical fiction. Live in Sydney, any people nearby?
