Shy The WidowMaker (booklovingmama) | 127 comments Anywhere I can although I spend the majority of my time reading when my girls are at cheer practices. I always have my Nook with me. I want to start getting into audio books so I can read in the car on the drive and from work.

Carrie (icanhasbooks) | 716 comments Outside on a blanket under a tree, lately my computer chair, my bed. Pretty much anywhere, I've read in line while getting my groceries many times.

Angie (pinkindle) Laying on the couch or on the bus. I also get quite a bit of reading done at school in the student lounges.

Wan (wanwaddell) | 612 comments I wish I had the ereader growing up. I would make reading under the cover so much easier.

Vanessa (OakParkV) | 10 comments This is a fun question!

I have a 45 minute train commute to and from work, so that's when I do most of my daily reading. I bought a Kindle Fire recently, and I love it. No more trying to hide the sleazy/steamy book cover of the PNR's I like ... and no more trying to tote hardcover books in my already overloaded work bag!

At my job, we're allowed to listen to music (on headphones) while working, so I listen to audiobooks a lot when I'm doing my data entry / admin stuff. I have an old iPod that I load up with just audiobooks.

At home, I usually curl up on the right-side corner of my sofa, legs tucked under me ... until I get a neck-ache, and then I end up lying down on the sofa.

I also (try to) read in bed, laying on my stomach ... but I always end up falling asleep ... even if I'm at a really good part in the book!

Belinda | 801 comments i like to read snuggled up in bed under all the blankets with the electric blanket on and the heat pack warming my feet.
i also enjoy being curled up on the couch with a good book and will sit and read whenever i catch public transport (which isn't very often

Nikki Palm | 7 comments Hey everyone:)
Before I lost my sight I could always be found with my nose stuck in a book. I devoured books by the tons and pretty much read anything I could get my hands on. Now that I am blind the only difference is that I now can always be found with headphones in my ear... well, usually just one headphone at a time since I have kids;)

I get the main majority of my books from Audibe and I truly love that site. I have a membership so the discounts and book credits are wonderful. It's cheaper than getting them on Cd but just as good and more portable. I simply download a book to my iPhone and away I go:)

Ellese (faithfulumbrella) | 60 comments I have actually always wondered about this, like how do other people read and such. I have found that over the years I, personally, almost always have to be in a reclining type position to read comfortably...

However, being the equal opportunity reader that I am, I will also read standing up, sitting straight up, lying down, lying down on my side, stomach, back, or any other position that can I read the words and still be relatively comfortable.

I think this is also worth mentioning. Due to my case of ADHD (Hyperactive/Combined type if you know your stuff ;)) I cannot have too much noise going on. I lose all my concentration and can't remember what I read. Therefore, the biggest thing I need when I read is either music with no words (oh ya know, classical, dubsteb, Native American Flute music, the ushe) or quiet. The end :)

Lol!

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 400 comments I like to read at my computer desk, on my bed, and on the couch wherever there is not too much noise or then it will be hard for me to focus on my reading.

Doesn't it suck when you're reading and distractions happen and you find that you have to reread things over and over again.

message 113: by CyberAlmu (new)

CyberAlmu | 302 comments It does.

People talking in the background are very distracting for me, because I usually read in English and the voices surrounding me are Spanish. It seems my mother tongue interferes and I can't read.

If not in silence, I sometimes play music. Usually classical or OSTs.

Tiffani Day | 35 comments I prefer to read alone but with 4 kids and a husband that rarely happens! It's not the noise but the but mommy and honey can you'd that always get me. I've learned it's best for me in the mornings before I start work at work on break and in the evening when everyone else is occupied with their own thing. I do like reading better with my iPad over a paper book mostly for the book marks and I read so much that its easier to keep up with them.

Natasna (njiggetts) I read in the bathtub..in the bed..on the couch

Sandra | 25908 comments LOL. I'd be afraid of dropping the book in the water, or worse, the ereader!

hahaha I have a bathtub experience like that, Sandra. Not fun at all!! Now, whenever I'm in the bathtub I just play audiobooks ;)

Danielle Book Boss (daniellebookboss) | 1009 comments I read in the bathroom when I'm at home because that's usually the only time that I'm alone. My 20 month old is obsessed with the Kindle and I can't read a book without her wanting to mimic reading the exact book that I'm reading lol.

Sandra | 25908 comments Well its good to have a budding reader in the family :D
