Yes, it is a physical place (without land) they colonized- it works

Kate (kathrynlouwca) | 1002 comments Dlmrose, I think you missed my question in post 107. Does South work for this task? I mean it pretty much takes place in Antarctica.

Without too many spoilers, there is intervention so it is not a naturally occurring wilderness , but I'll say yes, because all the elements are there.

Rach (rachlovestv) | 261 comments Would Fallen by David Maine work for this task? It's about Adam, Eve, Cain & Abel, so I'm assuming it's entirely set in nature, pre-civilization.

Most work. High Country is an example in the task description. Some, like Liberty Falling set in New York, would not work

Elizabeth (NC) | 184 comments Thanks--I figured they would, and if I had read the task description more carefully, would have answered by own question. Thank you for being so patient with us!

No problem- it can get complicated. I have to double-check all the time

Iamthez | 52 comments I have a collection of two novellas When Darkness Loves Us and in one, the entire story basically takes place in a cave, while the other is on a homestead.

Would this work?

Sorry, no- the first part might work, but the description for the book refers to small town life

Vanessa asked about The Golden Compass

While there's a portion set in an alternate Oxford, there is a journey to the far North and time with the gyptians on the water- I think it works

Would The Northern Lights (The Golden Compass) by Phillips Pullman work for this task?
The Golden Compass The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman

It is hard to tell from the description, but I have not found anything that points to a natural wilderness setting- I have found references to a setting in a future Bangkok and agribusiness factories. It does not look like it fits
