Nightfalltwen These are books that are currently "in Transit" at the library or soon to be in transit. So... in no particular order:

1. The Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkhurst
2. Jarka Ruus by Terry Brooks
3. Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
4. Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen
5. The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
6. A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K Hamilton

You'll have to let me know what you think of "Rebel Angels". I read "A Great And Terrible Beauty" earlier this year, and contemplated getting hold of RA but haven't gotten around to do so yet.

Nightfalltwen I'm probably going to finish this list quite quickly. Three of the six are books I got from the Library yesterday. I read The Dogs of Babel already... I was surprised it was such a short book. But an excellent story nevertheless.

Nightfalltwen I just ended up with Garden Spells from the library and I only have it on a two week loan, so that will be my next read. I have to update my list now. A few things have changed.

My list is as follows:

1. The Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkhurst - Finished
2. The Luckiest Girl in the World by Steven Levenkron replacing Jarka Ruus. Not interested in Terry Brooks anymore
3. Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
4. Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen Current TBR
5. The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
6. A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K Hamilton - Currently reading, but on pause

Nightfalltwen So my list keeps changing. Unfortunately Libba Bray didn't pull me in like I expected and rather than hold onto the library book in the hopes that I *might* like it later on, I've decided to return it

1. The Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkhurst - Finished
2. The Luckiest Girl in the World by Steven Levenkron Finished
3. Rebel Angels by Libba Bray Abandoned
4. Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen Finished
5. The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
6. A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K Hamilton - Finished

I think I need a new list now. I think Margaret Atwood is going to taunt me for a long time. It's the one book I own but have never read. I found it at a used book shop or from someone online and bought it thinking I'd read it because I liked Atwood's other books. Just never got around to it.

I've got two books at the library that are on the holdshelf for me.

1) The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
2) A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer
3) Guenevere, Queen of the Summer Country by Rosalind Miles
4) The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
5) Unknown
6) Unknown

"The Blind Assassin" is on my to-read list too. It seems to be the kind of book that people either love or hate.

Sorry to hear that "Rebel Angels" didn't grab you.

Nightfalltwen I'm winding down my reading at the moment. November is coming up and I've signed up for NaNoWriMo so instead of reading next month, I'll be writing like a mad fool.

However, I did get all BUT The Blind Assassin done off my revised list. I've come to the conclusion that I have to be in the right headspace for Atwood and I just haven't been there lately. I think I'll eventually get that one done, but I don't think it's going to be soon.

I'm going to make a new list of TBR books after November.
