Juniper (jooniperd) Excellent!! Thanks Kristi. I still mourn the demise of poor Chitty. She was a 4-speed beast! LOL!

My son calls his car Bandit, so I did a search on my library website for titles with "bandit" and came up with Bandit Queen Boogie. Looks like it might be a fun read.

Christine US (christineus) | 575 comments I've had a change of heart -- I think I'm going to useMarrying the Mistress. For the amount of time my husband spends with his car, I think "mistress" is a fair nickname.

*giggles*!!! I like that one! Our car is called Victor Von Batsy (don't ask!!!) and I really doubt I'm getting a book with THAT in the title!

message 57: by Kristina Simon (new)

Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) | 11209 comments Yes and LOL to Mistress and Bastard ;o). Both great names, for great reasons...

And good luck with that Victor Von Batsy title -- LOL...

Nancy | 138 comments My daughter named her boyfriend's car "October" because it is red and he can never remember where he parked it, hence The Hunt for Red October by Tom Clancy

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1114 comments I think I'm going to read Honey, Baby, Sweetheart, any of which could be a car name... I kinda like Honey for a car, if you had a cute gold car...

message 63: by chucklesthescot (new)

chucklesthescot I've been thinking along the lines of 'forces of nature' like tornado, inferno, tempest, typhoon, cyclone, thunder, lightning...

I haven't either. But my husband and children all do. I know people who name almost everything, but I've always had enough trouble settling on names for live beings, like my kids and pets!

Dee (austhokie) | 8973 comments like people who have named their kindles!!

glad i'm not the only one...I think i'm going to go with Goddess for mine (my little beat up Mazda) because it is a prima-donna at times (which is why it is hardly driven anymore)

Kate (kathrynlouwca) | 1002 comments The task just says a name that someone might name their car if they were so inclined... it doesn't have to actually be what we named/would name our car, right?

I am not good at naming things either. My kindle got named "Kendall" and my gold car got name "Goldie" but that was only this summer when my mother found out I hadn't named my car (have had it for two years) and was utterly shocked. I really am just not that creative...

Right. You don't actually have to name your car what you pick (or at all, for that matter).

Does the book title have to be exact, or will plurals work? For instance, I can imagine calling a car Cowboy, so could I use Cowboys Full: The Story of Poker?

message 70: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 815 comments Haha for those that don't name their car they could always go off the movie Cars by Disney. Plenty of fun ones in there. Lightning McQueen, Sallie, Tow Mater, Chief, Ray, etc...

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 31 comments Not sure if this has already been suggested, but I'm choosing Black Beauty for my car nickname task. I think Beauty or even Black Beauty are great names for cars.

TMBookluvr (tmb1981) | 271 comments I don't actually name my car, but I can see someone with a fancy car (especially if it had flames) naming their car dragon....

Would the girl with the dragon tatoo work?
