I was shopping for my next read after Alan Greenspan's "The Age of Turbulence".
I was interested to read "The Post American World" by Fareed Zakharia but decided to opt for Futurecast by Robert Shapiro. I picked up this book as Fareed's book was targeted for the general population and it was very generic in content (similar to Thomas Friedman). I like to read facts and figures (geeky stuff) that makes it more interesting to read.
Robert has done a good job gathering data and information and presenting it to the readers but my main complaint is that he says the same thing again and againa nd again. Like aging population across the world has been repeated so many times that you get bored. I started skimming through the book to look for new information.
This book can be written and summarized in fewer pages than what it is right now. I was disappointed. I will give this book a quick read.
