"Who said I was a lady?" she said, still concentrating on the one who had the scrolls

Shadowy light rushed at him, toppling him over. Kia returned to watching the others
Kia rolled her eyes and went to another hiding place
"Leave me alone" she hissed, jabbing him in the chest
"You're messing with my concentration. I work alone." she glared
She blinked. "I don't need friends."
She shook her head. "You were sucked into this mess because you are friends with them. Felway got into trouble because of Siki, and she's in trouble with her uncle because of him. Friends just create problems. I don't need friends."
Zen shrugged. "what about when you die? Who will miss you? How will you live on? How do you laugh? Who do you do stuff with?" He quizzed her.
A smiled tugged at her lips. "What about when I die? I'll die, that's what. No one will morn me, but my legend will live on. None will be able to surpass it. As for laughing, why do I need to? It doesn't help me with my work, which is all I do. No need for friends there."
Zen frowned. "If we don't laugh, you go insane. and what;s the point of life if you don't brand it with memories? Then you're just a robot." He reasoned.
She raised an eyebrow. "I've traveled all over the world. I've seen and done enough things for hundreds of lifetimes. Aren't those memories?"
"I enjoy my work," she said, puzzled. She'd never thought about being happy before
"I.." she stared at him and then turned away. "I don't need to feel. I have my work and it is enough." She turned her attention back to the others.
She pulled out her metal ring to watch them better.
Zen nodded. "So you intend on spying the rest of your life? Why don't you care about yourself? I mean, don't you want to have some fun or else you just get all depressed." He said.
"Spying isn't all I do," she grolwed, turning back to him. "And I have fun at being the best at what I do. It's prestigious."
"No," she lied, thinking about her family. "I don't need anyone."
Zen shrugged. "I guess. Well then your life would be black and white. No hapiness, moments, joy or love." He said.
"and no heartache," she said softly. Then she shrugged. "Fine by me"
She held out a gloved hand as a falcon dropped out of nowhere. She fed it a piece of jerky as she read the note attatched to it's leg.
Kia frowned at the note. She held it in her palm where it smoked then burst into flame. When the falcon was finished eating, she sent it on its way
"Not mad," she commented, brushing away the ashes. "Destroying evidence. It's better than eating it."
She pulled a face. "It's horrid on the digestive system."
She almost laughed. "I bet you eat dirt for breakfast."
Zen shrugged, half smiling. "Dirt, worms and cocroaches. I lovee the crunch." He said, straight face.
She nodded. "I know. I've been following you, remember?"
