Me: I had a Hogwarts 101 class one summer. I beat the sh*t out of everyone at everything. I got a $10 coupon for tickets to HP HBP.

Me: Yes, Isobel. They were finely crafted by yours truly, mine was rosewood and his was birch. ^^ Took me about a month, best woodshop project ever.
Me: Amazing. Seems like a waste that they broke. We painted ours. Auggie's is mahagony (the lucky ass), Vito's is like, black and mine is right in between.

Basically, the best was to get a better sound from your sax alone is to keep playing and getting used to the mouthpiece. :/
Comfort is also important, my friend learned that the hard way. xD If the vibrations are too much for your teeth then I would recommend investing in a mouth pad. They're easy to stick on and act as a shock absorber for the vibrations. But if nooott...
Cleaning is very important for creating a smooth, strong sound. After every playing you should always run a swab through your sax just to get rid of any saliva that you accumulated during you're playing. Erm, I think that's most of what Josh told me. >.<
