David Petersen | 12 comments Hello everyone

When I search for "Reading English News on the Internet" the search comes up with the version for Japanese ESL students (1847539718). The far more popular English language version (1847539777) can only be accessed by clicking the [editions:] link.
The Japanese version is also the only one listed on my Author dashboard.

These are quite separate books, and I'd prefer that they both show up in searches. At the very least, the English language version should be the default, with the Japanese version listed under other editions.

Thanks so much.

David Petersen

Jenny (narcisse) | 179 comments The one that shows up as "default" is the one that has been shelved the most times.

Are these the same book in two different languages, or two completely different books with differing content?

David Petersen | 12 comments Hi Jenny

The content is related, but not identical, particularly as a second edition of the English version was released in 2009.

What is the ISBN of the 2009 edition?

David Petersen | 12 comments Hi Rivka

I should more accurately have said "2009 revision", as it consists of the original English manuscript, re-proofed but with no change to the ISBN. Sorry for the confusion.

At any rate, if it is not against Goodreads policy, I would prefer if the two titles could appear as separate entries on my author's page etc.

Melody (runningtune) | 13300 comments I separated them. It seems to me if the author says they are two separate books ... then they are.
