I remember reading in the 80's: I Know What You Did Last Summer, Killing Mr. Griffin, Ransom, A Gift of Magic, Down a Dark Hall, Stranger with My Face, The Summer of Fear and Daughters of Eve. I loved her books, they were such good, creepy thrillers!
Since you got me curious, Anna, I looked up her website and she did indeed write "Hotel For Dogs" (I didn't know that, either!!) and she is still writing!

Anna wrote: "It seems like such a stretch from Daughters of Eve to Hotel for Dogs? I wonder if the new stuff is any good? I may have to revisit her work as summer draws to a close before the school year swoops ..."

Anna, did you ever get a chance to read any of her new books before the end of summer (gasp...can you believe that fall starts next week?!?!?)?

C | 12 comments I noticed Hotel for Dogs the other day and did a double-take.

Loved her YA horror - it was really odd to see that name on the front of a JF book!

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) Oh man, I loved Lois Duncan in my teens!! I should read her stuff again, see if it's held up through the years.

What a fun idea for a group, too!

Louie I love Lois Duncan's books! I read my first teen book of hers, Gallows Hill, early last year and I have been hooked ever since! I have read three more of her books since, The Third Eye, Locked in Time, and Daughters of Eve. I read Hotel for Dogs around the time the movie was released, way before I discovered that she wrote books for teens. She came up with the most original premises and her stories are always thrilling. I was so sad to hear that she passed away in 2016. She is one of my all time favorite YA authors.
