okay so, axis powers hetalia is an anime baised on WWII inwhich all the country's are personafied as humans, lots of insanity happens. most of it seemingly has nothing to do with WWII, from what i've heard.

I've watched most of it. Though the series is now after WWII. It is the before, during, after.

And I read some of the webcomic(turned manga).


As for best characters...there are too many really good ones. Although my personal favorites are Canada and South Korea(who only appears in the manga since Korea told Japan they didn't want him in the anime).
