Woah, 21 new posts ;D Well done.

Well, by the sounds of it I get it good ;D We have seven hours of school (not counting co-curricular activities or sport) and 20 mins recess, 50 mins for lunch... But most schools here go for six hours and have an hour lunch and half an hour for recess so they're lucky >_<

How so very Texan-y ^_^

(Sorry, I don't know if you're Texan or not so...)

Which bit's crazy?

Miss Silvertongue (misssilvertongue) | 2006 comments Isn't it just a South thing? I don't know, Ellen DeGeneres uses y'all a lot and she's from New Orleans. :)

message 2405: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments you mean "Nuh-arlans" right? ;)

it's crazy that you get recess!

and I'm not from Texas, but you're not too far off!

GSGS | 3406 comments Mod
Oh, I dunno. I just associate "y'all" with Texas so excuse my generalisations.

It's crazy you *don't* get recess! ;)

message 2407: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments haha, I don't think it is, I mean, why spend time at school relaxing or playing when I'd rather do it at home anyway? if I'm going to be out of the house it might as well be useful!

Yeah, but at least there's a break instead of working flat-out.

message 2409: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments I'd rather get it done with XD I just it's just what we're used to!

When I get home, I just do homework anyway...

message 2411: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments You don't get it done at school? You must get more homework than we do. I almost always finish my HW at school

-_O HOW?

I'm doing homework until dinner and even then I still have left-overs.

EmmyLu18 | 1 comments Hello. My name is Emma, and I'm an ex Twilight lover.
I did read the entire series, but was mad at the author from the second book on. By the end, I was so disgusted (and glad I hadn't actually purchased the series). THEN the movies came out...oh dear lord. Not only was this not a series worth filming, but the cast was TERRIBLE, not to mention they chopped it up and left so much out just to fit it into the time schedule, that the books actually seem superior.
Needless to say, I'm over any Twilight crush I used to have. Although I WILL admit, I think the guys who played Emmett and James in the movies were HOT. But that's the actors.

Hi Emma ;)

There are quite a few people in this group who are ex-Twilight lovers so you are in good company ;)

message 2415: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments So I'm watching Snow White and the Huntsman. I never knew Stewart's acting was so bad...she's going to catch a fly with her mouth hangin open like that XD

message 2416: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments I was a little rude there...the script didn't exactly give her many good lines to work with. I don't think she's had two full sentences in a row yet

GSGS | 3406 comments Mod
I started watching that movie when I was on a plane! It was so boring. I actually don't know if I was prejudiced against her acting skills or if I was justifiably bored by the lack of anything happening (they ran through a forest for, like, twenty minutes). So eventually I stopped watching it. Moved on to the Hunger Games.

message 2418: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments Hunger Games--good choice!
Yeah, I didn't really enjoy Snow White and the Huntsman; their relationship wasn't even developed by the end, I think they were holding out for a sequel.

GSGS | 3406 comments Mod
Hunger Games was one of the best book-movie adaptations I've ever seen. I nearly preferred the movie ;D

Whenever I hear 'Huntsman' I just think of the spider XD

message 2420: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments I agree! They did a great job with it! I'm so proud :,)
I wish there was more on Madge and the Mayor, but oh well, wouldn't want to bog down the movie with too many details

GSGS | 3406 comments Mod
I think Jennifer Lawrence did an ahhhhmazing job. In the books, I didn't really like Katniss that much, but in movie form she was more likable for me.

message 2422: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments I agree, and I feel the same way about Peeta. I didn't like him at all in the books, he seemed like just some wishy-washy lame guy who was too timid to talk to her, but now I like him a lot more

GSGS | 3406 comments Mod
Ehh, I still don't find him an appealing character. I didn't really connect with any of the charries in the HG... Save for Rue :)

message 2424: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments I love Rue!! She is definitely my favorite character! Have to admit, I was on team Gale :)

message 2425: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 742 comments So hey, I was wasting time on gr and I noticed you're reading Mrs. McGinty's dead by Agatha Christie. I read that book! I think it was really good, but then again all her books are great! Have you read Ten Little Indians (also published as And Then There Were None)?
