Blogs (Get Them Noticed)

The new blog: Tempests in a Teacup invites all published authors to join them in their attempt to promote everyone's work. Pop along and take a look.

I'm having fun looking through the posts here and will be sure to click on over to a few blogs.

Tempests in a Teacup (two comments above) also deals with these questions - and it'd be good if we could all link up. Authors should stick together. (Tempests will have a variety of authors, not just M/M or erotica - one of us writes fantasy fiction too).

Hi, Susan! Thanks for joining! I just went and checked and my comments box went missing! Time to hunt it down. Thanks for telling me.
Authors should definitely join together. I did visit Tempests in a Teacup--looks very interesting! Keep us informed!

Stop by and find out what happened when the Molly Maguires and railroad baron Franklin Gowan butted heads. Leave a comment this week, and you may win a copy of Watch the Hour.
And this week, the Luck of the Irish lasts through Sunday evening on my blog. You have even more opportunities to win. My blog is one portal into the "Lucky Leprechaun Giveaway Hop." Is your TBR pile getting low? Over 250 blogs linked on this tour have reading-related prizes to give you: books, Amazon gift certificates, etc. At the end of today's Relevant History post, you'll find the list of other participating blogs. Happy hopping!
About Relevant History: For many, high school history was boring and extraneous. In this feature on my blog, my guests show just how non-boring, non-extraneous history is to people in the 21st century.

I look forward to checking out these other fascinating sounding blogs!

I saw that someone wrote about writer's block. Well, I'll put in my two cents.
I've read about 5 books on how to write novels, and I know there are different ways to write novels. ..."

OK, Jenna, what is CAPT testing? And what are you studying?

I've done this before and made friends who outlasted the life of the game.
Full rules and whatnot at the post.

If you played last week, your comments won't need to go through moderation again. If not, why are you waiting???

I just posted on my Goodreads blog about how much I detest memoirists and nonfiction writers who make stuff up:

Gives me the kick in the pants to update it more often if I think people may visit! Bit like the last-minute cleaning when you have guests arriving : )

http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... Someday I may have a blog in the big worldwide web, but that's just a bit too intimidating for now.

(Yes, I do this every Friday through Sunday. Come play!)

http://shaeeza.blogspot.com/

A few posts about writing, and the arduous process of proofing and rewriting (I wish everything was as fun as the first draft ... but it never is!)

I will definitely go to as many as I can of yours. Will appreciate any and all comments. This is my first.

Hi O - lovely to see your post about the beautiful greyhound. We rescued an ex-racer and have had her for two years now. Need to do more posts on her at my blog!

We do our first podcast recording this Sunday. That is if I can figure out this GarageBand app! (everyone thinks I've got it, but I keep telling them there is no real instruction manual!)

LOVE the title of your blog Rasheed! I've followed, but couldn't leave a message - blogger has been on the blink the whole day! Arghh!

What are everyone's thoughts on book trailers - I have just completed on on a site that someone on goodreads recommended and here is the result. It is called "One true media" once i got the hang of it it was not bad.

Tips for increasing your writer productivity
Writer productivity is a pillar of success but for many of us, that’s easier said than done. Lack of time, writer’s block, self doubt and a lack of discipline must surely affect us all at some stage.
My publisher suggested I write at least a book a year. I didn’t and am now clawing my way out of the consequences. As a service to fellow writer’s, I have written a blog post: How to avoid writer’s block and increase productivity. Let me know what you think. I always love to hear from you.
