Sorry Dave. I'm the one who wrote about writer's block: lauracea

Thanks for letting me know.

Dan, that's a good exercise and one I'll try.

Dave | 29 comments Thanks, Susan! I really like your post, "A Call to Published Authors" from Feb. 20. As a relatively shy guy, I can totally relate. I'm still trying to figure out how to market my book, (C)rock Stories: Million-Dollar Tales of Music, Mayhem and Immaturity. Trying to make as many connections as I can.

Susan Roebuck (sueroe) | 46 comments There's a new blog created by a group of authors and it's along the same lines as my post on my blog ("A Call to Published Authors" lauracea)

The new blog: Tempests in a Teacup invites all published authors to join them in their attempt to promote everyone's work. Pop along and take a look.

Lisa Kumar (lisa_kumar) | 15 comments For those interested in romance, fantasy, and writing, I've started a blog with a critiquing buddy that will discuss all those factors.

http://lisaandkary.blogspot.com/

I'm having fun looking through the posts here and will be sure to click on over to a few blogs.

Susan Roebuck (sueroe) | 46 comments Hi Lisa - it looks good and I've joined your blog. btw, I couldn't find anywhere to leave a comment - am I being stupid?

Tempests in a Teacup (two comments above) also deals with these questions - and it'd be good if we could all link up. Authors should stick together. (Tempests will have a variety of authors, not just M/M or erotica - one of us writes fantasy fiction too).

Hi, Susan! Thanks for joining! I just went and checked and my comments box went missing! Time to hunt it down. Thanks for telling me.

Authors should definitely join together. I did visit Tempests in a Teacup--looks very interesting! Keep us informed!

Suzanne Adair | 27 comments "Prejudice never goes away, though the identity of the victims may change over time," asserts today's guest author on my blog, J.R. Lindermuth. His novel of historical suspense, Watch the Hour, is set in Pennsylvania during the clash between Irish coal miners and mine owners in the 1870s.

Stop by and find out what happened when the Molly Maguires and railroad baron Franklin Gowan butted heads. Leave a comment this week, and you may win a copy of Watch the Hour.

And this week, the Luck of the Irish lasts through Sunday evening on my blog. You have even more opportunities to win. My blog is one portal into the "Lucky Leprechaun Giveaway Hop." Is your TBR pile getting low? Over 250 blogs linked on this tour have reading-related prizes to give you: books, Amazon gift certificates, etc. At the end of today's Relevant History post, you'll find the list of other participating blogs. Happy hopping!

About Relevant History: For many, high school history was boring and extraneous. In this feature on my blog, my guests show just how non-boring, non-extraneous history is to people in the 21st century.

Leslie Shimotakahara (lshimo) What a good idea! I'm a writer and ex lit prof completing a memoir called THE READING LIST: LITERATURE, LOVE AND BACK AGAIN. Here is the link to my blog www.the-reading-list.com where I blog about what I'm reading and how it inspires me in my own writing and how my favourite literature helped me in unexpected ways as I hightailed it from the Ivory Tower....

I look forward to checking out these other fascinating sounding blogs!

Susan Gottfried (westofmars) | 68 comments Hey, bloggers! I have begun the Weekend Hangout at my blog, The Meet and Greet at West of Mars. Come on by and check out the rules (they are easy) -- it's a more structured blog hop, and you can play as often or as little as you want. The more you play, the more folk you meet -- and, if folk follow the rules properly, the more traffic you'll get.

I've done this before and made friends who outlasted the life of the game.

Full rules and whatnot at the post.

Tips for increasing your writer productivity

Writer productivity is a pillar of success but for many of us, that’s easier said than done. Lack of time, writer’s block, self doubt and a lack of discipline must surely affect us all at some stage.

My publisher suggested I write at least a book a year. I didn’t and am now clawing my way out of the consequences. As a service to fellow writer’s, I have written a blog post: How to avoid writer’s block and increase productivity. Let me know what you think. I always love to hear from you.
