It has been a long time since I read a book that literally took my breath away but this one did. I felt every human emotion when reading this wonderful love story. 5*+
- 'The Quiet Man' starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara is one of my all time favourite movies. This book written by a fan, contains a miscellany of facts about the music, locations, bit part actors and costumes together with lots of trivia. There are lots of candid photos from behind the scenes and stills from the film. A must for anyone who loves this movie.
- As always, Mary Higgins Clark does not disappoint. An intricate plot, plenty of suspects, red herrings galore, a few murders and a heroine in danger make this a great read.
Carol, I went to Ireland in May of this year and visited Cong where much of The Quiet Man was filmed. The town itself is charming and my mom was thrilled as it is one of her favorite movies as well. :)

- As an older reader, I was not sure how I would feel about this book but I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a beautiful love story between two people who had to contend with more than the usual teenage hormones. I also liked the very different spin on the usual vampire legend. I shall definitely read the other books in the series.
- a beautiful and touching book. Sean Hepburn Ferrer's deep love for his mother is evident on every page. He tells her story with dignity and respect. I really got to know the real Audrey Hepburn, someone who was beautiful not only on the outside but also on the inside.
-I enjoyed the first part of this book very much and really became absorbed in the characters of Liberty and Hardy. However, I found the second half rather disappointing because I could not seem to connect with Gage. I thought the scenes between Liberty and Hardy in the first half were emotionally intense but the scenes between Liberty and Gage seemed to be all about sex.
That may have been part of my problem with the book because of course you're used to connecting with the hero and heroine but with Hardy being such a big part of the beginning, I really became invested in him so Gage came as a bit of a shock. I expected him to be a fling and Liberty ending up with Hardy.

That is probably why the Liberty-Gage relationship just did not work for me.
- Agatha is a middle-aged public relations agent who decides to retire early and move from London to the small village of Carsley in the Cotswolds. She soon finds herself a suspect in the murder of one of the locals and decides to take matters into her own hands to uncover the real murderer. This is a very entertaining read with lots of humour, a variety of colourful characters and lovely pastiches of country life. I will certainly continue with the series.
- I tried to be objective when reading this book because Lisa Kleypas had stated on her website that her first four books were "part of a learning curve". I really enjoyed it and I think it helped that I did not compare it with the books she is writing now. My only criticism is that editor should have done a better job because I felt at times there was too much emphasis on historical aspects which tended to overshadow the romance.
- Just finished and really enjoyed it. Like others, I can't understand why it got such bad reviews. Rhys - well what can I say? He's my type of hero - big, strong, scarred but tender underneath. Meredith irritated me, at first, with her indecision regarding Rhys but once her 'deep dark secret' was finally revealed, the reasons for her actions became clear. I also liked the dialogue between the two. I am looking forward to reading 'Three Nights with a Scoundrel' to resolve the mystery surrounding Leo's death and to find out more about Julian Bellamy.
- I do not normally read contemporary novels but as this was a freebie download from Harlequin, I thought what the heck. Well, I really enjoyed it. The hero is a tall, dark, handsome cold-hearted Italian tycoon and the heroine, a sweet naive virgin who is blackmailed into becoming his mistress. Of course, things don't go exactly as he planned because he falls in love with her and, eventually, she succumbs to the real person beneath that ruthlessness.
- I absolutely loved this book.In the previous books, I found Julian Bellamy a very unlikable character but, in this book, as details of his past which he had kept hidden gradually came to light, I found myself warming to him more and more and by the end of the book, I really adored him.
I also adored Lily who was beautiful, intelligent, brave and warm-hearted. She never lets her deafness deter her and was willing to take risks such as attending a social gathering on her own. Although she loves Julian unconditionally, she isn’t afraid to tear a strip off him.
- I absolutely loved this book. One of the most moving ones I have read. I desperately wanted Amy and Swift to have the happy ending they truly deserved after all the things they had each suffered in their own way. Catherine Anderson writes with such emotional depth and there are so many beautiful passages in the book that pull at your heart strings.
- I liked Hardy in Sugar Daddy even if he was a bad-boy but adored him in this book. Sexy, gorgeous and so understanding and gentle with Haven. It was heart-rending to read about Haven's systematic abuse by Nick which I think was made more powerful because you were hearing her own thoughts and feelings when it was happening.
- now I'm in a dilemma - Jack or Hardy? It's a very hard choice because they are both fantastic heroes. I love the chemistry between Jack and Ella and baby Luke is so cute!
- enjoyed this book very much but for me it didn't quite have the same the emotional impact of 'Comanche Moon' and 'Comanche Heart'. It concentrates heavily on the relationship between Indigo and Jake with some drama to add tension to the story.
- how often do you have the heroine punch the hero in the nose not once but twice!! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
- really enjoyable light romantic comedy reminiscent of those delightful Doris Day/Rock Hudson romantic comedies of the 1960s (for those old enough to remember, like me!)
