YOu should have seen teh feed in the live chat. We all pretty much died of happiness! The designer of the runes was in front of you?! Kick ASS!!
I actually do have her making the announcement. I'll upload it as soon as I get the chance. And yeah she sat in front of me. They said "there will be a special guest appearing today." I asked my sis who's the guest? The designer (didn't catch her name) turns around and says "the graphic novels artist". I asked her how she knew this and she looked at me like I was crazy and said because she called her and asked her to come. Then, during the Q and A portion she waved to Cassandra Clare and at first I thought she was just screwing with me and my sister but she actually did design the runes for the series. And the graphic novels designer was there. We got a free sample of the comics and she signed it.
I was there! I just got back from it too. I was actually in the VERY BACK of the line. Almost the last ones, and we waited almost two hours to get up to her, but it was so worth it. I felt awkward that I'm such a new fan surrounded by people who have been fans of hers for literally forever, but I told her how much I'm already in love with the books and how much I just HAD to meet her, and it made me feel better that she was so nice about it. I ended up getting both my copies of City of Bones & Ashes signed. It was awesome.

im gonna meet her at the end of the month and im thrilled!!!
I knew it would be amazing though because A) Green Day is one of my all-time favorite bands and American Idiot is my fav album B) I LOVE John Gallagher Jr. (the lead) and C) the director of Spring Awakening directed American Idiot
Now on to the book signing. It was a lot of fun! I bought a hard cover copy of CoG and read the first chapter of CA in the paperback edition. My sister drew runes on me before the signing and two girls had awesome Isabelle costumes. I also met the girl who designed the runes. She happened to be sitting in front of me.
And the announcement!!! How has that not been discussed yet? When she announced she was making two more MI books the audience went nuts!
