I've already wondered many times how listopia lists really work... Browsing through all the books listed sometimes takes forever if the list is very long - but if I just add a book from my own book shelves it will come up as a new book no matter if it has already been added by someone else or not, right? Is there a trick to this? Also makes me wonder if books listed twice resp. their votes can be combined? Recent case: The Most Disturbing Book Ever Written. Lord of the Flies is listed twice! #2 and #39.

I cleared the list of duplicates (see the list's edit page for the link, and use it cautiously).
The rest of your question seems to be a Feedback Group issue. There is a currently-active thread on Listopia at the moment.

It's teeny and hard to see, but it's at the end of the description of the list.
And I believe that this thread is the one Rivka is referring to.
Thanks, Dori. Sorry, was trying to actually work at work, so I didn't have time to thread hunt. ;)

I couldn't find the link to edit one of my lists on Listopia thanks for the info, finally able to remove the book out of sync. :)
If someone adds books to a listopia I created and those books don't pertain to the list do I have the ability to delete those books or no?

Yes, I'm very certain. My list is about fem-doms or female dominants and the member just added a bunch of BDSM books. I have read them and they are about male dominants with female submissives. I posted a couple of comments requesting the poster remove the books b/c they don't pertain to the list...other than the common BDSM theme. http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/87...
Can u tell me how to remove them?

I too have a list that a book has been added that does not fit with the list. My list is for books about ghosts only but someone has added one about werewolves. I have gone into the edit page but I don't have an option for removing books. The only option that is showing is to edit the title and description, nothing else. Has goodreads changed how you remove books?
Did you set up the list? It may be that only GR Librarians can edit the lists.
But if you see the edit link and can edit the title, the links to remove books and check for duplicate are at the bottom of the page
I believe only librarians can remove books? What's the list, Jessie? I'd be happy to clean it up for you.
I do have the option of 'check for duplicates' but nothing for removing books. Here's the link, Susanna
