Troysmom09 | 103 comments Hi Deva!! I read a book that I was hesitant to talk about. Its Vulnerable. I really enjoyed this book, however it is not IR. I was hesitant to talk about it because there was some homoerotic undertones in the book and I didn't know how I felt about it. I usually stay FAR away from that kinda thing. The book sucked me in soo much that I had to finish. You should check it out.

Have you heard of this book Lady Danielle?

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 200 comments Yes, I have. I don't do erotica, so I don't plan to read it. I heard it was good though.

Troysmom09 | 103 comments I have read a LOT of erotica in my time Lady Danielle. The book is not erotica to me. It is sensual, yes, but the sexual stuff comes much later. There are a few parts that I thought were an attempt at erotica but it wasn't that to me. I was so invested in the characters and they took a LONG time in getting to know each other biblically I thought it was very tasteful. To be honest the book had all of the things that make me not like it....but somehow this other drew me in to her world and made me REALLY care about the characters. One of the characters was like a sweeter, gentler Zhadist and who can resist that?

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 200 comments Too erotic for me, lets just say. I'm not into menage at all. But I'm glad you liked it.
I'm pretty traditional in the way I like my love stories strictly m/f, no extras, if you know what I mean. And I don't like love triangles. Someone recommended it, but it doesn't sound like my thing.

Troysmom09 | 103 comments I hear you...I'm surprised a I liked it. Believe me if I had known there was a menage thing I WOULD not have gotten it. Is that the publishers fault or the authors for not putting warnings? I think that you should know what kind of book you are getting. That is the kinda book that shoulda had SOME kind of warning. If i had not have gotten sucked in by the characters I would been pissed of about the whole homoerotic stuff. Just not my cup of tea and I avoid it at all cost. Who knew I would like that book? Just a fluke I guess.

JC (ainathiel) | 0 comments I have reading moods. mystery, IR romance, normal romance, science fiction fantasy and their erotic counterparts, I read everything I can find in a genre or sub before I move on to the next. At the moment I am out of erotica, I think it is a reader burn-out. When I have time to read, I have this futuristic murder mystery series.

Concepts that may disturb the average reader can be put in a story and be accepted if the writer does it properly. I am quoting Troysmom, "I got sucked in by the characters". Which meant you were interested enough to see where they would land at the end of the story.

Troysmom09 | 103 comments I go through reading moods too, Jo. I think I have a pretty eclectic taste in reading...but I definitely go through cycles. If I had the balls to write, that is the way I would want my characters....so deep and rich that you can SEE them with you minds eye. That is true talent to me.

JC (ainathiel) | 0 comments I do write stories. My head is full of characters and conflicts.I love it when I can create a scene or sequence of events that entertains and intrigues ppl. I also like making the perfect sentence.

It is the reason, I read like crazy when I have time to read.

JC (ainathiel) | 0 comments That happens to me too. I chalk that up to the process. I have tried to give it up but this habit is unbreakable.
