Oh, Amy--you forgot the other books by Annette Blair--The Kitchen Witch (Accidental Witch Trilogy, #1) plus the other 2 of course, and her A Veiled Deception series (which while not as funny as the other 2 series, still has some great moments in it.)

Amy (amescat) | 279 comments Ok...I'll do an edit and add them :-)

Amy (amescat) | 279 comments I picked up I'm the Vampire, That's Why (Broken Heart Vampires, #1) by Michele Bardsley and Don't Talk Back To Your Vampire (Broken Heart Vampires, #2) by Michele Bardsley today

message 104: by Caramelle (new)

Caramelle | 106 comments Night Huntress does have several memorable funny parts throughout the series.

Chicagoland Vampires has some. Mostly when Mallory is involved.

Dark-Hunters has several. One of my favorite lines is 'Come to the dark side. We have cookies' (Zeth, from Dream Warrior). Another moment is the 'Similicious' part! Love Simi!

BDB's comic relief has to go to Lassiter and Rhage. Love Rhage!

Jericho from the Fever series, dancing to 'Tubthumbing' by Chumbawumba. Naked.

SO many moments! I want to re-read several of my series over again!

Poppy Fields (aggiepanthus) | 3 comments I love the Parasol Protectorate Series. Alexia Tarabotti and Lord Maccon's bantor set in the Victorian era cracks me up. I can't read it at work because I sit there with a stupid grin on my face as I read. Alexia has to be one of the smartest heroines ever. So witty!

I may try to get my hands on Shelly Laurenston Beast Behaving Badly Or something else?? "

The Katie McAllister - Aisling Gray series are a hoot. I would definitely recommend them.

I like the Aisling Gray series, too. Jim always cracks me up.

Amy (amescat) | 279 comments I have requested You Slay Me (Aisling Grey Guardian, #1) by Katie MacAlister (on CD) from the Library. I figure it will be something I can listen to during my 1.5 - 2 hr drive each day.
I am waiting on Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh from the library but not sure that it falls under any sort of Funny read.

Also I have ordered from Beast Behaving Badly (Pride, #5) by Shelly Laurenston and When He Was Bad (includes Magnus Pack, #4) by Shelly Laurenston from booksfree.com so I should have them in less than a week.

I started reading I'm the Vampire, That's Why (Broken Heart Vampires, #1) by Michele Bardsley last night and got up to chapter 11.. FUNNY!!

Oh, I forgot about this one...great read! It took me a little time to get into it but once it took off it was great!
Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger

Also Christine Warren, her Others series is funny as well."

Christine Warren's Other's series is pretty funny. I also like the "Love At Stake" series. I can't remember who writes it but those vamps in kilts are halarious.

message 111: by Jan (new)

Jan (janoda) One of the series I discovered this month, thanks to Felicia Day, was really funny, in a not out loud but smirky way. Lots of witty banter, especcially in the later books.
The last book was a bit darker in athmosphere, but all in all I think it still qualifies as a funny series.

I'd categorize it as paranormal Fantasy with romantic aspects more than as PNR, and theoretically it's probably science-fiction, but who cares?

The hero and heroine are very enjoyable and have 'sometimes I want to smack your head and then cuddle you' flaws.

Resenting the Hero (Hero Series, #1) by Moira J. Moore The Hero Strikes Back (Hero Series, #2) by Moira J. Moore Heroes Adrift (Hero Series, #3) by Moira J. Moore Heroes at Risk (Hero Series, #4) by Moira J. Moore Heroes Return (Hero Series, #5) by Moira J. Moore

The covers have actually nothing to do with the books though. It's some of the most wrong artist work in the history of books :p

Oh and I should probably mention the actual name of the series *rolls eyes* It's the Hero series by Moira J. Moore

Martina the Book Fairy (book_fairy) | 442 comments Oh yeah! I totally second the Shield/Source series by Moira Moore! Really fun!

message 113: by Catherine (last edited Aug 27, 2010 09:22AM) (new)

Catherine My favorite funny PNR series would have to be the Pride Series by Shelly Laurenston.

The Mane Event (Pride, #1) by Shelly Laurenston The Beast in Him (Pride, #2) by Shelly Laurenston The Mane Attraction (Pride, #3) by Shelly Laurenston The Mane Squeeze (Pride, #4) by Shelly Laurenston Beast Behaving Badly (Pride, #5) by Shelly Laurenston

They're hilarious and sexy!!!

message 114: by Jaclyn (new)

Jaclyn (pnrbookworm) I'm so glad Shelly Laurenston's books have made this list! I reread her Pride Series whenever I need a good laugh - it always provides a pick-me-up.

Hey, I just realized, we don't have Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series on this list. A fun read set in a Steampunk Victorian England.

message 116: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. One of my favorite too Ann. I love the friend with all the horrible hats.

message 117: by Jax (new)

Jax (jaxc) | 21 comments My favorite funny series are:
Jane Jameson by Molly Harper
Vegas Vampires by Erin McCarthy
Aisling Grey by Katie MacAlister
Light Dragons by Katie MacAlister
Pride Series by Shelly Laurenston
Accidental Friends by Dakota Cassidy
Broken Heart, OK by Michele Bardsley

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Thanks, added a bunch more books to my to-read file! Love the Night Huntress. Laughed like a fool.

message 119: by Erica (new)

Erica (gypsysgem) | 19 comments Love love love Lynsay Sands Argeneau Series. Very funny books. I've had to re-read parts because they were so funny. And very romantic of course :)

Also; After Midnight by Teresa Medeiros was hilarious and sweet at the same time. The second book (The Vampire Who Loved Me) was pretty good; but not the best I've ever read.

Also, all the True Blood books are wonderful. They are very different from the show - less violence and more steamy romance. Also more emphasis on the love triangles and great humor.

message 120: by Kate (new)

Kate (kshiv) | 96 comments Night Huntress is really funny. There are some great characters and everyone gets funny lines. Love Ian and Vlad's stuff especially.
I think that Chicagoland is pretty funny and lighthearted too.
The funniest series I have read is the Stephanie Plum books. They are not PNR but they are laugh out loud funny at time. I guess Ranger could be supernaturally hot....maybe that counts!

message 121: by Katie (last edited Oct 20, 2011 05:49PM) (new)

Katie (skateanddonate) anything by Nina Bangs always leaves me laughing so hard I can't breath

message 122: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I just finished First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones and laughed throughout the book.
