If you're new, introduce yourself!
Hey there Emlyn! I believe I just tweeted you! My goal is to make it on the list of 1001 books you must read before you die :-)
So glad to see you here! Please feel free to look around, offer advice to those who ask, and promote any work you have.
Nice to tweet ya!

Wow, your goal is even more ambitious than mine! Best of luck to both us in our endeavors (and I surely wouldn't mind being included on the list myself).
Hi everyone, What a friendly and welcoming group. My name is Arlene Radasky. I wrote the historical fantasy The Fox. I posted it online for the first time in 2008. I have made the difficult decision to give The Fox away for many reasons but most of all, I wanted to get it out into the world and read. It is available in print here https://www.smashwords.com/books/view..., downloadable to all readers, and I also recorded it and have it available on Podiobooks.com http://www.podiobooks.com/title/the-fox for those who like to listen.
It is also in print, done by CreateSpace and is on Amazon.
I would love to answer any questions as to my decision, where and how to post and also any questions about recording your work. To date, I have had 27,626 people worldwide download my book and it has been translated into Farsi and is being distributed in Iran.
I am a happy storyteller, with short stories, and poetry and a second book on the way (someday.... LOL).
My website is www.radasky.com
I hope you add my book to the bookshelf as well!
I am happy to be here.
Welcome Arlene ~ I'll have to take a look at The Fox when I get a chance (which won't be for a little bit as I am editing two books & have several to read for others & provide feedback.) But I will get to it.LK
Hey! Hello Trish, Emlyn & Arlene!Three lovely talented writers I have come to know via Twitter! So good to see you here!
Thanks for the welcomes, LK and LT. I'll be more involved on the forum just as soon as I can figure out how to balance writing, blogging, and online networking--I'll let you know how that goes :-P
Balancing real life and my writing is the most difficult thing I am doing right now. I would like to have someone to fill the fridge and sit in a room by myself for a week or two. If it works, then a couple of months would be nice! LOL
I know, it's such a challenge. Once I figure out the answers I plan on sharing with all through my lovely blog. Until then, I'm going to have to keep striving to achieve that balance myself.
Hi, everyone! So many familiar faces...er, avatars. I joined this group a long time ago and lurk once in a while. I, too, have been trying to find balance and it's a continuous struggle. But I'm determined to get more involved in discussions with people I like! So here I am! :)My first book, Promise, released July, and the second book, Purpose, just came out in December. These are the first two in the Soul Savers Series and I believe there are 5 more to go. So I'll be busy for a while. I also have some related short story and novella ideas, as well as completely different premises I hope to explore some day.
I have 3 teenage boys and, along with their cousins, friends and girlfriends that are constantly here, I call them The Herd. I have The Man, too, and a puggle and a beagle, who is the only other female in the house!
Hello fellow writers & welcome Kristie! BTW, Kristie is featured on my blog where she discusses her novels and the writing life. Check it out at http://web.me.com/imagobooks
I'm new... just joined after I got a very nice invitation to the group. I am a freelance editor by trade. I've always loved to read since I was very small. Now I also have the privilege of helping authors hone their manuscripts. Looking forward to meeting all of you. :)
Hi everyone =) I am Courtney and I am a writer and a journalist. I am a social media junkie and LOVE all things YA. I look forward to getting to know everyone in the group!
I'm sure you'll find quite a few twitter faces, and some of the nicest people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. Welcome to our insanity! :-D
Hi everyone, I recognize many of you from twitter since I love to tweet! I thought I'd join in as well. On twitter I'm @jflamingo2.
I enjoy writing poetry, prose, short stories, book reviews, recipes and articles on flamingoes, weight loss, Matchbox Twenty and Rob Thomas. I also love to blog but I read more about blogging or others blogs too much so I'm intermittent about my own blog. I hope that I can change that eventually.
Here's my blog: http://jflamingoreflections.blogspot....
I also enjoy scrapbooking, rubber stamping, papercrafts, book clubs and I love to read!
But mostly, I'm a stay-at-home mom of a very busy household even running a home daycare. I'm hoping to be going back to school this year. Yipee! I look forward to it as well getting to know each of you and finding some motivation and encouragement to keep me writing! :)
Welcome Julie!
Just joined your blog, and I must say Potato Cheese soup is one of my faves!
I was the music director at a preschool for years, and I think you should get a medal for an in-home daycare. People don't realize how much work is involved in stimulating little minds.
Anywho, welcome to our crazy, little world! So glad to have you!

Elizabeth, Thanks a bunch for your warm welcome! I appreciate you taking the time to look at my blog in spite of my lack of updates lately. :S I will let you know when I get it current again. I'm happy you like Potato Cheese Soup too. Thanks for the encouragement in stimulating little minds and I'm glad to have joined your crazy, little world also! Looking forward to learning and being motivated from all of your great writer minds. :)
Howdy...I'm Jenn, and I'm new here! I may know a few folks from Twitter (I'm @JennSommersby), and if I don't know you yet, then Tweet me. I get very excited with new friends.Ummm...what to say, what to say. I'm a mom--I have four kids (20, 17, 9, and 6). The oldest just left for Afghanistan three days ago, so I'm still talking quite a lot about it. It's fresh. Give me time. I live in Western Canada--yes, it rains here all the friggin' time--though I'm from Oregon originally, and before Vancouver, I last lived in Los Angeles. But all this crap you can get from my bio, if you care, I suppose.
My first YA novel is called Sleight, and I am self-pub'ing after playing the query/rejection game for a year. Got close, but no cigar. So I'm rolling my own cigars and packaging this puppy all on my own. The book (and my author profile) have been added to GoodReads as of yesterday, and I'm looking forward to everything coming back from the formatter in the next week to 10 days so I can start inundating the airwaves with my feeble attempt at marketing. Marketing is not my specialty, alas, but copy editing IS. Got questions? And I've been known to take pictures now and again (somberbee.com).
I am a new contributor/book reviewer for Best Damn Creative Writing Blog. It's a great site run by passionate bibliophiles, so if you haven't discovered it yet, get thee there now!
My blog is at www.jennifersommersby.com, and I cannot promise that I won't cuss. I like cussing. The consonant sounds make me happy. Nice to meet you all, and I look forward to getting involved in the various discussions!
All the best...
Hi Jenn! Welcome to our little writing community where folks are friendly and advice & support is free!
L.T. wrote: "Hi Jenn! Welcome to our little writing community where folks are friendly and advice & support is free!"Thanks, dahling! And if I can offer any support in any way to my fellow pencil heads, I will. Copy editing, grammar questions, and, um...I think that's all. I'm a terrible cook, and my kids are naughty, so domestic advice is sort of a gray area. Oh! I like Shakespeare, too! Maybe I can tell you what play to read next, because I'm sure you're all Jonesin' to crack open some Bard.
Thanks so much. :o)
Jennifer,Welcome!
You'll fit right in our little merry band of insanity! I've gotsta check out the blogs, which I'll do right after I quit typing.
If you have one particular pet peeve, or something a mistake that you see writers do all the time, please post it on the grammar thread. I love to hear other people's thoughts as I try to hone my mad skills!
And I'm putting your book on our shelf!

Sweeeeet! Thanks! Oh, man, pet peeves? I got boatloads of 'em. Including in one of the ebooks I'm reading RIGHT NOW. *gasp* THANK YOU, Elizabeth! See you here and on Twitter! Oh, Twitter, how I love thee...I might have to have this new obsession examined by a professional.
Emlyn wrote: "Hi, I'm Emlyn, and have had the pleasure of connecting with a few of the group members via the Twitterverse. I'm an aspiring novelist and avid blogger. I have the ambitious (insane) goal of readi..."Hi, Emlyn! Hi! Hi! Hi! It's me, Jenn! *waves and jumps up and down*
Hi! I was invited by Elizabeth. I was an avid reader all my life and then about 10 years ago, I started college and had kids and then I put aside my obsession (reading/writing) to focus on family. Last year I dusted off my notebook and collection of books and haven't looked back since. I recently started blogging about a month ago, mostly to find great books and to write even if it's just a couple of paragraphs a day. I am on Twitter (Neri0724) if you want to say Hi!.
Hello, everyone! I might have met some of you fine people on Twitter already, but I'm excited to join your group. I'm the author of Amaretto Flamewhich is a paranormal romance about Wise Ones, magic-users who are hunted by the deadly Venator. More important, a specific Wise One who is a little naive and runs into a sexy musician with copper hair. ;-)In my 'real life,' I write non-fiction for a living, and I'm a mom of 2. Also, I eat books for breakfast. I can't get enough!!! So happy to be here. :-)
Welcome, Sammie! I'm so glad you joined us! Please feel free to take a look around and join in the fun! I'm putting your book on our shelf :-D
Hello everyone! Elizabeth invited me to join your wonderful group. I'm an author of a new paranormal romance coming out later this spring called What the Heart Wants. My paranormal element comes to the storyline in the way of psychic abilities. Glad to be a part of the group. I've read over a few post and everyone sounds so friendly. Looking forward to talking with all of you.
Kelli! *waves!!!* Thanks for joining our merry little band, and please feel free comment on any of the threads! See ya around!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. Yes, I am very excited about my impending release. It's such a great feeling :-)
Hello to all the new peeps--Sandra, Sammie, and Kelli! I'm Jenn. I'm finding & following you fine lassies on Twitter and blogs. Glad to meet you all, and welcome to the Fun!
Hi, I'm Jessica. I love to read and write YA paranormal romance. I spend a lot of time doing both. I'm completely addicted to Twitter and it drives my husband nuts. :) I'm hoping to make friends and maybe even find a critique partner to read my work and help motivate me in writing. I would love to do the same for someone else!
Hey Jessica! I think I'm now stalking you on twitter. Be sure to add your info to the many places here.
Pretty much anything goes here, so if you need just a small excerpt post it on the critique tab. If you're looking for someone to read through your WIP, I'm sure there is someone on here that would love to read through. I'm swamped until July, but I'll be more than happy to look at it then! :-D
