Katie | 10 comments Is there a way to swap zombie books with others on this site without using the goodreads swap? Here is what I am on about, I have 2 of the Brian Keene zombie books that I have read but will not read again.
Is there a way that I can swap them with someone in this group for 2 of their zombie books?

Has anyone done this before?

I want to keep the zombie books "in the family" of zombie readers.
thanks jim

Katie | 10 comments The 2 books are The Rising and City of the Dead

they make up the saga of the humans struggle for survival against the Siqqusim, there is a third book that provides a timeline for the saga and gets into the backstory of the secondary characters. i have not seen the 3rd book in bookstores.

Kevin Walsh | 47 comments I have read City of the dead. But not The Rising. I picked up City of the dead but I was oblivious to the fact that it was a sequel. So I've heard great things about the The Rising ( Bram stoker winner) But I kind of ruined the ending for myself by reading the sequel unaware that it was a sequel at the time.

I have a good list of zombie books. about 20 in total. will be probably at 30 before the end of the year.

have you ever read Domain of the dead? Its a great zombie book.

Katie | 10 comments no I haven't.
I have read: World War Z, The Morning Star series, Blood Crazy, Feed, Dead City, The Stranger, Monster Island, Monster Nation, Monster Planet, and I am currently reading Deathbringer by Bryan Smith.

I put the books in the order of favorite to least favorite.

Jim
ps
I did the same thing that you did. I read City of the Dead before the Rising. It didn't ruin The Rising for me. It was great to get the backstory. Then it was good to go back and read City of the Dead a second time. It made more sense the second time around.
