Tamra - when you look up a book you are reading...if an author is a goodreads author it will say so in bracket next to their name. It will also be indicated by an asterisk on your shelves

Not sure if anyone wanted to continue to a round 6, but I am too busy with work to keep up the tracking...Volunteers???
I'm also really busy at work, but I love this challenge too much not to continue. I'll take over the tracking if no one else is able to.
I wish I could, but moderating the SRC is already taking an enormous amount of time (on top of work, family, etc.)
Angela - Do you just keep track of people's total books and shelves? Or do you keep track of the number/names of shelves people cross off? It doesn't SEEM too bad... I could probably handle it, as I only work part-time...
I love this challenge too, so I am willing to help if needed!
Hi!! I am extremely busy so I am just getting back. I am still able to update the newest list each quarter, but need help with updating the list every week and pulling the random winners and announcing the top shelvers.
I will also take care of posting the rules. Just need one volunteer to help out with answering any questions also :) Rebecca has offered and I also see that Kim and Sara are willing to help.
I'm happy to help as well, if help is still needed.
I would love to participate in a round 6, but since I'm new I don't know how much help I'd be. When would the start and end dates be and would an updated list of shelves and rules be posted somewhere?
So what's the verdict? Are we doing a round 6?
Sorry everyone...I have been sick the past week (and still am) so I have not been able to get anything together.I am going to get started on the list tomorrow night...I just hope you guys can be patient with me :)Just keep reading and we will count the books read since November 1st.

I believe they'll be up some time tonight.... Keep your eye open for a Shelf-A-Thon 6 thread. (We can't start keeping track officially until Angela posts the official top 350 shelves for round 6.)This round's rules are in post 7 of this thread. They won't change much, if at all, so if you have any questions about them, we should be able to clear things up now.
Question: When we are reporting books read and shelves touched is this a running total or book by book? does this make sense?
Running total... number of books read and total number of shelves hit from all those books.
so for example, if i read 3 books and touch 30 shelves I post:books:3
shelves:30
then I read 2 books and touch 20 more shelves I post:
books:5
shelves:50
is this correct?
